Hi! This is my first story so I'm sorry if it's rubbish, but I'll try my best! ( Also the character names and places are all from Soman Chainani - the amazing author of the school for good and evil!)

Sophie's POV:
Sophie squirmed under the stymph's sharp talons. They'll ruin my dress! She thought angrily as the bony bird soared high above the dark forest looming perilously far away beneath them. She grimaced, realising that at any second, the giant beast could drop her, and she would surely fall to her death. If that happened, then she would never be able to have her happily ever after, or become a princess, her very birth-rights! So, Sophie closed her eyes tight, against the wind, the darkness, the fear, and prayed that it would all be over soon.

Agatha, on the other hand, did not want to see their harrowing ride end. That was because, when it did, she would truly have no chance of seeing her mother again. No chance of going back home to her graveyard, and to her cat. Agatha had read the storybooks, she knew what happened next. No-one had ever returned. She looked around frantically, searching desperately for a way free them from the skeletal creature, to whom which claws that they were currently ensnared in belonged to.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Sophie. Curled up into a cramped ball, shaking against the harsh night. The heartbreaking sight hardened Agatha into firm resolve. She had to get them free - because surely, if they landed, the two girls would be separated, perhaps forever.
No.
That could never happen. They were going to escape, no matter the odds. However, this fleeting sense of hope was short lived, and any dreams of freedom vanished with the misty air, as Agatha caught sight of two castles gleaming proudly in the middle of an icy moat.

They had arrived.

Sophie's POV:
She was going to die.
Sophie felt the stymph begin to release her as they flew over the School for Good, but her joy at being a princess was overwhelmed by animalistic terror. After all, she couldn't be a princess if she was dead, could she? But when the stymph finally did drop her, she did not tumble to an untimely demise. Instead, she felt nothing at all, until her feet touched gently down on the dew-speckled grass. Elation overpowered her in a fearsome wave. She was going to go to balls, meet princes and live in palaces! Sophie was so overwhelmed by the abundance of thoughts, rushing to her mind, of a future that she had always sought out, but deep down had never truly believed in - that she failed to notice when a girl skipped towards her, a beam plastered onto her cheerful features.

"Hi! I'm Kiko, and I love your dress,"

"I'm Sophie," she replied, holding herself tall. Sophie desired to make a good impression on the first student she met, after all, she had a reputation to build. Kiko's curly brown hair blew in the wind as she skipped all formalities and crushed Sophie in an air-exhausting embrace.

"It's so exciting, isn't it? Knowing that we are going to learn how to be good, with all these future heroes!" Kiko chattered - not unlike a parrot, or any other species that fit the criteria of small, annoying animal. Sophie, however, was distracted, as the two made their way down to their dorms.

" Hey, Kiko, we're in the same dorm," she said, unsure whether this factor was good or bad.

"Yay! Sophie, who else are we with?"

"Umm.." Sophie fumbled for the little slip of paper which contained the mystery girl's name. "We're with someone called Beatrix"

Kiko practically squeaked from excitement.

"Oh wow! Everyone is talking about her, they're saying that she is the prettiest princess ever!"
Sophie grimaced - she already had a rival. Sophie was certain, however, that this 'Beatrix' was going to be no match for her own glamour and charm. With restored confidence, she thus stepped into her dorm ready to start her new life as an Ever.
She gasped, unable to restrain her admiration for the room before her.
It was huge - windows stretching so high that they seemed to scrape the very tips of the clouds themselves, bathing the whole room in natural hues and light. Along one side of the room, elaborate beds lined the wall, fully bedecked with silken sheets, and enough pillows to supply a small neighbourhood. As well as the beds, various dressers, armoires and makeup-tables were scattered artfully throughout the space. They were fitted with so many beauty supplies, that even Sophie was certain that she would have cause for more.
Sophie sighed in contentment, feeling a deep sense of belonging. If this was her dorm, then what would the rest of the school be like?
She pondered the question as she began to change.

                                                  ~~~~
"Wow! Do you see that girl?"an Ever gasped, hands to her cheeks in awe.
"Who is she?" Asked a rosy-cheeked girl.
" Definitely a princess," muttered a surly prince, approvingly.
"That girl", of course, was Sophie. She was wearing a lilac thigh- length dress, made of a very rare satin, imported from about as far away as one could get, and her neck was adorned with a beautiful diamond necklace, that sparkled in the morning light. Sophie's golden hair was arranged in an elegant twist, to accentuate her golden teardrop earrings, and wore dark purple heels to complete her look.
Bye bye Beatrix, she thought to herself, with saccharine sweetness.
Agatha's POV:
Over at the school for Evil, Agatha wasn't having such a good time.
Unsurprisingly, the renowned School for Evil, was exactly what it signposted, and Agatha did not enjoy it one bit.
