Decoding The Message Of Amber

Chapter 9

"Amber what did I tell you? First cigarettes, now drugs? Pot there is pot in the tree house? How did you get that pot?" Francine says
"A guy from my class" I say
"Does evan do pot? Does evan smoke cigarettes? why are you changing so much for a guy?" Francine says
"Evan doesn't do these things, I just wanted to try it once" I say
"amber I'm sick of seeing the girl you're growing up to be. so you promise it was just this once?" Francine says
"Yes I promise" I say
"I'm sick of punishing you kids, I'm sick of you guys disappointing me, Wasn't a week without your car hard enough for you? Do you even care about the things your mom and I provide for you? You are grounded for 30 days because that's how many days it'll take for drugs to get out of your system, school and work that's all you're allowed to do, if you don't come home by nine and you miss your curfew even once, no more evan, and no more car" Francine says
"Fine mom I understand" I say
"And I might seem like I'm not serious but I'm fed up, I'll take your phone away and even pull you from school don't mess with me little girl" francine says
"Maybe this is why dad left you, because you're a crazy bitch!" I yell back
Then Francine back handed me
"I'm giving you mercy right now, say one more word, and you're grounded with no phone until you graduate."

I then walked into my room and sat down, this is literally the worst day ever.
I now know that nothing of mine is save, she goes thru my things and I can't Handle it, I've been just putting my cigarettes in my purse and I guess I'll just have to do the same with my smoke or just let evan hold onto it, if evan even wants to still be with me....

The next day I woke up with no texts or calls from evan, I got up from bed and got into the shower, and continued my regular routine, except I wanted to look a bit better so that evan would want me back, I curled my hair with my wand, and I made sure my make up looked good, I also put on a floral dress with a leather jacket that had studs on it with some green tights with some black combat boots, I thought I looked really cute for school this morning, I walked out of my room and entered the kitchen and francine was gone but Debby still remained, I sat at the table and grabbed some French toast from the plate
"You look beautiful today baby" Debby says
"Thanks deb" I say
"I'm sorry that your mom is being completely crazy about all this, if you would just assure us that you were being safe on weed then I don't see why you can't smoke" Debby says
"I don't travel with it, I don't smoke in public, I don't drive under the influence" I say
"Well I know you're not a dumbass about things like that, and I'm glad you're acting like a normal teenager, make these mistakes while you're young, but you know all the consequences of smoking weed right?" Debby says
"Yes Debby im aware" I say
"You can't get most jobs if you're on drugs, and its smoking so many chemicals and it's expensive and illegal" Debby says
"Yes Debby I know, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to school" I say
"I love you" Debby says
I just walked out of the house with nothing more to say.

I approach Whitney by the statue
"Hey girl" I say
"Omg girl you look so totally adorbs, i love the whole look" she says
"Thank you whit" I say
then I saw evans white truck pull into the parking lot.
"Let's go to class" I say
"Evan just pulled in" Whitney says
"So let's go" I say to her while giving her a wide eyed look.
We walked into the school and there was a big sign that said SENIOR PICTURE DAY IS TODAY PICTURES WILL BE TAKEN DURING YOUR ENGLISH HOUR REPORT TO THE AUDITORIUM
"good thing I dressed up" I say
"Omg I forgot I look horrible today" Whitney says
"I think you look great" I say
"I'm going to my locker, come with" she says
We then walked down the hall and we found her locker, she did her combination and she opened her locker and it reveled a rack of shirts and she skimmed the rack and then said
"Perfect"
She pulled out a Lacey see through shirt that had a bohemian look to it.
"I've got to go change" she says
Then we walked to the bathroom and she fixed her make up and changed shirts and the shirt was a bit big on her.
"You've lost more weight" I say
"I know, which rocks, but it sucks constantly rebuying my wardrobe, I mean, you get attached to an item of clothing and then bam you're too small for it" Whitney says
"I mean that must suck" I say
"If you have any clothes you don't want anymore I'll gladly take them off your hands, since we're about the same size now" Whitney says
"I'll see what I can do" I say
