42. His parents?

With Tony:

    It had been 2 hours since Peter had woken up. After Fury had said Romanoff, Peter fell back, as if the word had triggered memories. The boy seemed so overwhelmed, he had passed out. Loki had thankfully managed to catch him before he had hurt himself. Now, the boy was laying back down, curled into a ball. Tony was sitting on the bed, running his fingers through the boy's hair, making sure he was okay. Nearly everyone had left the room. The twins had stayed, Wanda not wanting to leave the boy until she knew he was okay.

    "Stark."

Tony looked at the door and saw Fury.

    "We need to talk."

Tony turned to the twins.

    "Keep an eye on him."

Wanda nodded her head as the man walked out of the room with Fury. Natasha was standing with her arms crossed outside of the room with Steve, Bruce, and Clint. All of the others had left for home, after Tony had swore to tell them everything that happens with the boy.

    "What is it, Fury?"

    "It's about your kid. You had FRIDAY run a DNA test on him, right? Why?"

Tony crossed his arms.

    "He never met his parents. I figured if we had to do a blood test, we might as well do a DNA test. You never know."

    "Well, do you know who the hell his parents are?"

    "FRIDAY didn't get a chance to say."

FRIDAY's voice rang through the air.

"Sir."

Tony was not prepared for whatever the AI was going to say.

    "Yes, FRIDAY?"

    "There is no DNA match to the father, but there is one for the mother."

    "Show it on screen."

A projection appeared on the window. It was a faint, translucent blue. The bottom middle of it showed the face of Peter, while the top right showed no one. The top left is what caught them off guard.

    "!$/!/@)/!(/!/!(/*/!?"

I also wanted to clarify a thing I have seen commented recently;

Vision is not in this story until later.

I have a small thing planed that reveals why he is not here.

He may come back, I haven't decided yet.

I also wanted to hide the name at the end

just for dramatic effect, so it'll be revealed in the next chapter.

Also, it kinda stumps me when people ask for or demand an update.

I know that you guys don't mean any harm by it,

but it does mess with my head a bit.
