(eddie gets a pretty bad scare in a game and josh is there to help him feel better.)

eddie stared at the screen in front of him.

this was considerably one of the scariest vr games.

"am i really gonna do this..? hell yeah!"

he hyped himself up for it, and set up his heart monitor.

he felt discouraged when he looked at the title screen.

"fuck."

he started it anyway.

eddie pulled up his headset and did some kind of intro.

"y'all i'm scared for this, just look at it."

eddie prayed in spanish.

"okay, let's do this."

not even five minutes and he's already been jumpscared twice.

"vete a la mierda perra fantasma, i'll fucking kill your dumbass!"

the heart monitor jumped to 118 and higher.

eddie wasn't sure his heart could take much more of the game.

after a few minutes of things being normal, eddie calmed down a slight bit.

the next jumpscare caught he completely off guard.

eddie screamed trying to throw off his headset.

the noise and visuals scared him beyond belief.

the heart monitor rocketed to 136.

eddie had his hands over his face, he felt like he was gonna go into cardiac arrest.

josh pulled the door opened to eddie's recording room.

"eddie? i heard you screaming."

eddie huffed, his chest heaved.

"f-fuck!"

"eddie, woah."

josh popped down onto one knee to get to eddie's level.

"hey, it's okay man. deep breaths."

he finally dropped his arms from his face.

"j-josh, oh god..."

"hey, it's okay. what scared you so bad?"

the man on the floor swallowed hard.

"dumb h-horror game!"

josh looked at the vr headset that was thrown.

"c'mon eddie, let's get you to the couch."

josh had an expression that could only be read as concern.

josh extended his hand to the man on the floor, eddie took it still shaking.

he walked the two of them to the couch.

"do you need a water?"

"no. i'm fine...just sit with me for a moment."

josh sat right by eddie and took his hand.

"it's okay."

eddie leaned on josh.

"i know. thank you."
