i was talking to this boy. he was really cute -she answered-

what? -she asked with a grin-

coming! -they responded in unison before walking away with them-

as they ran to the park. the five teenagers re played multiple memories of their childhood in this town. they laughed and joked around thinking about how lucky they were to have a friendship that had lasted so long. Mattia came up to Cami and wrapped his large hands around her waist. they weren't a couple or anything. even when everybody in town thought that they were. he was just really nice to her. which she just followed. they both cared about each other a lot. and obviously, they were't gonna throw that away if they became a couple. it's just logic, as Mattia would say. 

how was school, Cam? -he asked leaning in her shoulder-

good, but i missed you a lot -she pouted-

i did too. 

they both laughed.

wanna go to the diner? -he suggested-

i would say yes, but we need to be at the Johnson's in.. oh my god three minutes! -she exclaimed as she looked at her watch-

they looked at each other with their eyes widened, Mattia grabbed Cami's hand and they ran to the house.

Tia, slow down -she said giggling as the boy  pulled her along the street-

hurry up, Cam. get on my back 

what?

yes, we'll get there faster -he leaned in-

ok fine -she rolled her eyes and got on his back-

wow, you don't weigh anything 

shut up -she said laughing-

did you just tell me to shut up? 

n-no.

aha! you did! guess that deserves a punishment. -Mattia started swirling them both around as they giggled-

MATTIA STOP -Cami said giggling-

now, that'll teach you not to tell me to shut up -he smiled-

if i didn't love you this much, you'd be probably dead in the floor -she joked as he rolled his eyes playfully-

 they laughed one more time before arriving at the Johnson's.

Cami opened the door revealing many families from the neighborhood. Mattia smiled at her and they greeted everyone.

hi, Cam. you look so beautiful.

oh thank you, Mrs. Parker -she smiled and her gaze traveled to him -

there he was. leaning against a window. while looking at the night sky. she excused herself before trying to walk  to him. but was stopped by Mattia coming up to her. 

hey, where are you going? -he asked getting closer to her-

oh, to- she lifted her eyes to where she saw him but wasn't there anymore-

you need help?

uhh no thank you -she smiled-

ok, just look for me if you do, ok?

yes -she whispered as he walked away-
