When it comes to lunch, Mexico offers you a wide variety of main dishes that will leave you satisfied until after dinner. However, you will not find anything like armored taquitos, one of the traditional dishes of Morelos that emerged at the time of the revolution and has been modified until it reaches the delicacy that is known today.
They are prepared with the popular Mexican tortilla. First, on an omelette, place a layer or bed of rice with any other filling such as boiled egg, chilies or sausages. Then place another tortilla on top and voila, you will have a delicious and eye-catching armored taco. You can get them at street vendor stalls.
The legend says that one tortilla serves as a "shell" that protects the filling and the other is the ship that refers to warships. For this reason, the original version only consisted of two tortillas filled with rice and a boiled egg. Currently they are also prepared on the day of the Holy Cross and the Day of the Mason
