xiao dropped his cup of tea to the ground, followed by the sound of the cup shatter, [name]'s face flushed red that it feels hot once she placed both of her hands on her cheeks. "i said it! i said it!" she's panicking at what she just said as she tried to hide her face from facing the adeptus, he stayed silent because he didn't know what to say to her.
he opens his mouth to say something but then close it again, he cleared his throat to keep his mind focus on rejecting her. "[name], you're—"
"i am leaving, because i heard my mom calling for me! see ya, xiao!"
[name] left him as quickly as possible, he just watched her figure disappeared from his sight. then he lowered his head, staring at the shattered cup and spilled tea on the ground, but his mind wonder around thinking about the mere mortal's confession. he couldn't help but blush at the thought of it.

"oh shut up! i don't care about your stupid answer too!" she pouts and keeps dragging him with her. he just glared at her back but then he let out a sigh and he relaxed, xiao took her hand away from his wrist and hold her hand. "could you stop cutting me off when i'm saying something?" she tangled her fingers with his and leaned close to him, grinning widely.

"[name], oh my god! it's you!" [name] dropped her spoon as she sighed loudly, xiao who noticed it, keeps eating his almond tofu. she turned her head to look at the one who called for her name, "oh, huanran, what an unfortunate coincidence." she gave the man a close-eyed smile, clearly didn't want to see his face.
he just shrugged what she said and pinched her cheeks, "you haven't changed a bit! let's go join us and celebrate your comeback!" huanran let go of her cheeks and took her wrist, xiao's eyes went wide at what the stranger said to her as he put his bowl on the table.
she forcefully took her hand away from his grip with a chuckle, "thanks but no thanks, i don't want to be anywhere around you, haha." [name] raised her voice and an irk mark could be seen on her forehead, "ohh~ usually when a woman said that, they didn't really mean it."
xiao furrows his eyebrows when he saw this huanran guy took [name]'s chin with a smirk, there's a part of xiao wanting to rip this guy's lungs out. he keep his mind clear as he keep watching huanran if he did something out of the line, huanran leaned his face close to [name]'s ear and whispered, "what if we go to a place where no one could bother us?"

xiao stood up and went to hug her chest, "i'm sorry but she's with someone else, her boyfriend." both [name] and huanran let out a gasp, [name]'s face flushed red as she lowered her head in embarrassment. huanran backed away from them as he put his hand in the air as a sign that he won't do anything, "i'm sorry, i didn't know she's with her boyfriend."
xiao glared at huanran as he let out sigh, he let go of [name] and hold her hand gently. "just stay away from her," he stated with a cold tone as if threatening huanran, xiao started walking away from the place with [name] following him.
"w-what was that about?" she hesitantly asked him when they're both alone, he let go of her hand and turned around to face her with a blush. "are you returning my feelings?" she asked again as she looked up to him, he quickly averted his gaze away from her.
"i've been having these feelings for awhile and when you confessed, i didn't know what to say. i was going to tell you earlier but you didn't want to hear me out," he started as his face scrunched up in embarrassment, [name]'s eyes went wide as he took both of his hands.
"so you..."
"yeah, i love you."
he confessed with red face, trying so hard to calm himself down, she let out a sigh in relief as she let out a giggle. "i love you too, xiao." she couldn't help but smile widely at the feelings of happiness and how much she loves the man in front of her, he stared into her eyes and his lips formed into a smile.
