Part 6: Last Peirod

~~~ 3RD PERSON GON POV ~~~

Gon was thankful to see killua walk the other direction when they left art class. That was so incredibly uncomfortable for both the two boys. Gon was excited that he had gym next. Gym class was always a favourite for him, while growing up he spent lots of time outside but in middle school he was constantly busy with school work and friends so he hardly had outdoor time. He arrived in gym, his class was co-ed which was unusual for high school gym classes. This day felt so long, he regained some energy for gym class. He looked around the gym trying to see if he recognized anyone from previous classes in the day. He recognized a couple kids from his second period class. It seemed they notice they were in the same class before too. Gon walked over to them to attempt to make the class more interesting.

      The people he recognized were Pokkel, Ponzu and Retz. Retz was the girl who caught his eye while walking into second period. "Hey can I sit with you guys?" Gon asked with a friendly smile on his face. His smile usually always makes people like him. "Yeah sure, aren't you in math with us?" Retz asked. "Oh I remember this guy, he was the one talking to that weirdo, killua." Said Pokkel. "Weirdo?" Gon ask the three. "Oh yeah he was a total weirdo in middle school, he would go around throwing himself at like every guy." Said Ponzu. "But he glowed up this year, he's a total hottie." Said Retz and the three began to chuckle. Gon was a bit uncomfortable but he needed to be able to talk to someone in this class. He decided that he would try and change the topic, and if killua came up again he wouldn't contribute to the conversation.

      "So you guys went to the same middle school? That's cool." Said Gon in an attempt to change the topic. "Oh yeah we were all best friends and then this year me and Ponzu started dating." Pokkel said wrapping his arm around Ponzu. The gym teacher began to speak. "Ok everyone go put your bags in the changing rooms, I understand no one knew to bring a change of cloths so we are going to go on a walk around the neighbourhood." Gon and Pokkel got up and walked in to the boys changing room and Ponzu and Retz went to the girl's. "So dude are you and killua friends?" Asked Pokkel. "No not really, I was only taking to him cause he needed some pencils lead." Gon responded. He felt a bit bad saying they weren't friends but it was the truth, and killua was just asking for lead. Gon knew killua was more then just a classmate to him.

       The class went outside for a walk around the neighbourhood for the period. Gon enjoyed talking to his new classmates. Half way through the walk the couple started to drift behind the group so Gon decided to keep Retz company. Retz was really pretty and totally Gon's type for a girl, she had pretty blue eyes but not the same as killua's eyes. She had what Gon considered to be pretty ok blonde hair that had attractive curls all throughout. They talked about their middle schools as well as their other classes. This class flew by considered to his other classes.

      When the period was over he said goodbye to his new group of friends for gym class and walked to the shoe lockers. He passed the art room and caught a glimpse of someone inside. Once again there he was. Gon got a feeling that he didn't get when he was around Retz. Gon decided to leave before he was caught watching for a second time. He got to his shoe locker, slipped on his shoes and headed home. He was excited to talk to his aunt about today even though he was incredibly tired. The walk home wasn't as long was it was in middle school. He missed walking home with his large group of friends but he knew soon enough he would have new people to walk home with.
