Part 7: A Guest at Home

When Gon arrived home he called out to let his aunt know, "Aunt mito I'm homeeee!!" Aunt mito was in the living room. She had her shoes on and was wearing a nice outfit. "Oh Gon, You're finally home. I have work soon but I needed to talk to you about something before I left, come sit." Said aunt mito to greet her nephew back home. Their home wasn't incredibly large but for just the two of them they had plenty of space. Gon's dad has a bedroom but he isn't home very often so it's basically a guest room. They had a decent living room, and the kitchen wasn't bad. They didn't have a dining room but the kitchen was big enough for a table that seats four. They only had one bathroom which was ok for them. "My friend and her husband had to travel for work but since their son just started high school they didn't want him to miss school, so I offered to let him stay here. His siblings were ok with being home schooled so it's just him who needs to stay in town." Aunt mito explained to Gon. Gon was smiling.

He was excited he would be able to hangout with a boy his age. "Yay that sounds awesome, when is he coming?" Gon said with an excited tone and a smile stretching from ear to ear. "Actually he is coming later today, but I'll be at work. He already has a key so don't be alarmed when he gets here. There is dinner already made in the fridge and I already cleaned the house quite a bit but I need you to go through a drawer or two of your fathers things in his room so he has space for some cloths. I'll be back late, around 11:30pm" Said aunt mito. "Ok consider it done!" Gon said with a motivated tone. The two said their goodbyes and Gon was left to think about who his guest would be. He never got the chance to ask what school the boy went to or even his name.

Gon had finished clearing out three drawers for the boy, he had come across some alcohol. He decided to keep it in case he was invited to a party later in the year and he could bring it. Gon was laying on his bed him his room which was at the end of the hall. At the top of the stairs was mito's room and in between the two was his father, Ging's. He hoped the guest would get there soon, not only to meet him but so Gon could finally eat dinner. That's when he heard the door being unlocked. He flung himself down the stairs, he was half way down when he tripped. He tumbled down the remaining stairs. The door opened and the guest looked down at gon laying with his butt him the air and face planted. Gon was sore but had to see the guest. He looked up and they made eye contact. Their eyes widened.

"Killua? What are you doing in my house? I'm expecting someone!" Gon said not understanding the situation. Killua looked down at him and began to laugh. He was laughing so hard that he fell, his bag hit the floor and that when Gon understood. This boy in his math and art class, was his new guest.
