Serena's POV
I open my eyes as they failed to battle with the morning sunrays .I glanced at the alarm clock beside me " OMG!!8:15 am I need to get up and get ready or else I will be late for my interview ".I yell at myself feeling stupid for waking up late .
As soon as I wake up I brush my teeth take a quick shower and pickout a dress for myself .I smiled at the sight of the dress ,it's the dress my dad bought for me "Dad even though you aren't here with me you will always be alive in my heart,I love you dad "I say as a tear slowly drops from my eye .I quickly wipe it away once more smiling looking at myself in the mirror ."Alright I have to get this job"i say full of enthusiasm.
I ran to my door as I hear the knock on the door .I open the door to see my mom sitting on her wheelchair .I smile at her "good morning Serena"my mom greets me with her soft voice ."good morning mom "i said ."Is Sherwin awake" ? My mom asks me about my 8 year old sister Sherwin ."no she is fast asleep , anyways mom I am in a hurry you know I have a interview today right ?the interview is at 9 :30 am so I have to go now or else I'll be late "i tell her smiling and somewhat excited ."but what about your breakfast dear ?"she looks at me concern all over her face .I once again give my smile to her "mom I am not feeling hungry ,and for you and Sherwin I have already kept the bread and tea ready in kitchen , ok Bye "."bye dear good luck for your interview ".
"Thanks "i say as I step out of my house feeling as enthusiastic as ever .I need this job very badly as I really need money for sherwin's school fees and mom's medications. I also do partime job at a cafe but the amount of money I get paid there isn't enough .I sigh as I think about the other girls at my age enjoying there life traveling, relationships,fashion is what there life is about ,totally different from mine but still I am proud of myself thet I feed my family by myself,by working hard .I feel tired sometimes cause taking family responsibilities isn't as easy at it seems to . :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
