Chapter twenty four

Addy's POV

It was already my birthday! It was Saturday. Me and the girls (Ketty and Christa) went shopping yesterday.

"Morning Bright," Liam said joining us on the dinning table.

"Son, you're late for breakfast," Martha said.

"And you're not done," he said sitting next to me.

"Addy, I need you to my room after breakfast," Martha said and I was scared.

"What could it be that she wants to tell me?" I thought.

"I know it," Liam whispered in my ears.

"What's it?" I whispered back. We had grew closer since that day he told me about his powers. Oh and we had our first kiss, being my first kiss of life. It felt real!

"Don't be too curious Bright," he said bitting on my ear, I shivered and naughty me pounded in my mind.

"Bright stop thinking or I'll you know," he said raising his eyebrow and bitting on his lips.  He was calling me Bright more today!

"And why are you calling me Bright?" I asked.

"Last time I checked it's your second name," he shrugged.

We finished breakfast so I went to Martha's room to hear what she wanted to tell me.

When I reached there she gave me a book.

"Read this, I'll be back after you finish it. You know you have to go to the girls in the afternoon," she said.

"Why are you giving me this?" I asked.

"Because I want you to understand more before I explain," she said.

"Okay," I said reading the book's cover.

"The Summarized Life of The Powered" it said.

She went and left me reading the book. The book was written by K. Williams. He was my dad. I knew my mom once told me that my dad liked writing books and used K. Williams as his author names.

"Do they want me to know more about my dad? Why do I have to know it today? Why didn't mom say more about him? Why did he write about powers?" I was getting confused but I opened the book and started reading.

It said about how centuries ago powered humans and vampires were great friends. They were different kingdoms. There was only one kingdom of powered and they lived in central Asia by then. And they were friendly to the neighboring vampire kingdom of course since vampires has two kingdoms.

When vampire hunters attached vampires kingdom the powered would help, and if powered attached the vampires would help.

One day the prince of the powered married a vampire princess as his mate. And that princess was no leader. She misunderstood the powered and mistreated them since she thought she was more powerful. The powered hated this and they started hating vampires.

This was the best chance for the wolves to attach powered since they had a lot of treasures. When they were attached they called for vampires for help but since the princess's brother was the king by then he refused. He was angry with the way powered forgot every wars they had been in together and now asked for help after many years of misunderstanding. But he also ignored the fact that his sister was the cause.

The vampire King's son Alexander Carl begged his dad to help them since he got his mate in the powered and he wanted to protect her.

The king accepted the offer but there was some negotiations. The powered would pay back. When the war ended the powered failed to pay what they promised so they became slaves and servants. And some even became pets.
