Chapter 01

Quinn felt her temples pulsing even before she got to open her eyes and welcome the daylight. The hammering on her skull was worsening with every passing second, but what really brought Quinn back from the eternal dream she had fallen was a hand.

A rugged, large, and inhumanly warm hand was caressing her chest. It pumped a little on the left side then it moved to the right, quite close to her nipple. She couldn't know if the movement was intentional, to take the chances with the imposter. So, slowly, she forced herself to open her eyelids and see who this daring person with a death wish, was.

By the time she could look, the hand was replaced with something else. She let her senses show her what it was. First, she felt a soft tickling of a fervent breath on her chin, then a piece of hair caressing her stomach. It seemed that the person was trying to hear her heartbeat, to see whether she was alive or not.

"Don't worry I'm not dead yet. But this headache sure feels as if I just got back from hell."

With a hoarse voice, she mumbled and finally managed to force her eyes open and adjust to the light of the day. Blurry, she managed to see a glimpse of her companion. It was a young male, now crawling a few feet away from her.

The man seemed to have jumped to the sound of her voice. It was obvious that she had startled him because he looked at her wide-eyed as if he had just seen a ghost.

"I'm sorry if I spooked you, but you were starting to get a little too touchy for my taste."

He only tilted his head to the right side, looked at her with a confused gaze, but didn't return anything to her comment.

"So where are we? On which planet have I landed?"

She tried again, eyeing her surroundings. Even though the scenery wasn't familiar, there wasn't anything unordinary about it. It seemed that she had landed, well crushed in the middle of a forest judging by the greenery around her. The grass underneath her was like a soft carpet, as if untouched by a human foot. The trees above were tall, with widely spread branches and pieces of fruits hanging here and there. The sky was bright without a single cloud to decorate it.

Judging by the lightness of the day and how high the sun was, she guessed that it was around mid-day. So a few hours had passed since she had crushed because it was around ten p.m when she first got on her journey.

"How many hours was I out?"

She asked the male, turning her attention towards him again. There was nothing inhumanly and unusual about him either, well if one doesn't mind the fact that he was almost naked apart from the piece of fabric wrapped around his hips to hide his most private parts. But Quinn respected his choice of attire, and that wasn't related to the fact that she had a full display of his chest, toned stomach, and deliciously formed thighs.
