Chapter Nine

Secrets gonna be spilled!!!

Everyone was gathered in the living room, sitting down in some sort of circle. At a first glance you would have guessed they were relaxing and having fun but with a further look you could easily tell that the air was heavy and everyone was stiff.

"Well, you gonna explain or what?!" Undyne finally ended the silence.

"We're sorta working out where to start!" Flowey yelled back.

"maybe with what really happen when you both died?" Sans casually replied, he was the only one who didn't seem affected by the atmosphere. "or your intentions of your messed up plan?"

"I really don't get how you know that but fine, why not start with that," Chara replied and Sans gave her a big smile, letting them know that he won't let them get away with keeping secrets. "Let's start with when I fell... why I fell."

Silence hung over the air for a little while before Chara continued.

"I was fifteen, I had already lost my best friend and mother due to humans being stupid little BATCHES!" She took a deep breathe. "Humanity isn't nice, everyone is selfish, cruel, and ready to do anything for the betterment of society. I had had it, I didn't know that where I was jumping was going to lead me into another community of beings but I'm glad that it was filled with monsters and not humans.

"Skipping ahead after about three years living happily I wanted to repay your kindness and I wanted revenge on humanity." Chara stopped and calmed her voice from hate. "My death was purposefully," Toriel and Asgore gasped at this but didn't interrupt. "Asriel was instructed to take my soul and cross the barrier. The plan was to kill all of humanity but Assy couldn't, thus resulting in our deaths.

"My determination didn't let me die though, instead it made me trapped where I was buried, not able to communicate, not able to explore, just trapped, waiting, hoping. Only when Frisk jumped was I able to move, she had the same amount of determination as me and my determination latched onto her." 

Silence filled for a moment then Toriel and Asgore jumped and squeezed her in their arms.

 After a while everyone regained themselves to continue.

"Guess it's little old mes turn," Flowey said while sticking out his tongue before turning serious. "I ain't spilling too many secrets though.

"I was... reincarnated, I guess, as a Flowey. It was through one of Alphys' determination experiments and if you can guess I was scared... no that's not right... I was confused, I didn't feel anything. Spent a while trying to figure stuff out but that didn't work. One day though, I discovered the power of Reset and played around a bit. At first it was out of curiosity, then I did it to feel something, then just because I was bored.

"After a while though, I, stopped, nothing helped me regain emotions, go back to who I was, or even change anything. And yeah, I can't feel anything so don't think I feel sorry for what I did but understand that I know it was wrong." Flowey stated then sharpened his eyes on Sans. "During my Resets was when I met Sans and Papyrus. Papyrus was fun to play with but Sans never trusted me, even when I did nothing wrong. However, what I don't get is how they randomly showed up, both young, no parents anywhere, and no records on them."

All eyes fell on Sans and Papyrus. 

"don't matter where we came from, does it, that's not what we're tryna figure out," Sans replied a little darkly.

"I'm just curious, I mean what, you were... hmm, let's see if I remember... 15ish taking care of a 10 year old all alone," Flowey replied, "Would have been hard."
