She was in the kitchen trying to cook something. She learnt over the years that cooking is very therapeutic for her. This day, she was trying not to overthink the whole situation she was putting herself on by dropping this song. It wasn't the first time she would write a song about him, pretty much all of her songs were inspired by him. Maybe by one sentence he one time said, or the feeling she one she felt around him. But this song was different. She was telling the story about how she didn't feel just his friend. She didn't want to be just his friend. If she was honest, she didn't want to pretend she was not hopelessly in love with him. She hoped he was in the same situation. But after years of this type of relationship, she believed that he was still here because it was comfortable, the safe way. He had a stable thing he could go home to. He was sad and wanted a cuddle? He would call Nini. He wanted to have fun and then fall asleep? He would call Nini. But it was the other way around too, don't get them wrong. It was their deal. Being there for each other with no strings. Sometimes it hurt that they had no strings. She couldn't get sad when he was on a date with someone else. And he couldn't get heartbroken every time she would drop a new song about love, thinking she was falling for someone else.
