Chapter 6

Next few days passed silently, without any trouble or the mention of Emaya. As if, Emaya was a taboo.

Aniqa, who shared dorm with her, also kept her distance.
While Ahil also kept his distance from her in classes.

Still, they would or at least Adish would, find Emaya in hallway, canteen or sometimes on ground. Always accomplished by Zayyan or her sisters.

Adish couldn't help but notice she wasn't like her sisters. Where Eira and Erina always have haughty looks on their face, Emaya would always seen smiling. She was polite. Not that Adish talked to her But he has heard her talking to others.

But still, no one in ACore Four talked about Emaya Khan.

"Are you guys coming to the town?" Aniqa asked, as she sat down on breakfast table.

Today was weekend, and on weekends students are allowed to go to the town.

"I'll. I have to buy some books." Ahil Mirza rasied his hand and said

"I'll go to the town. But not with you guys." Aaban Khan said while running his hand in his hair, he was looking at another table where group of girls were sitting.

"I have a date with Ridhima." He later turned to Aniqa and winked. Which made her cringed.

Aniqa looked at the table where Aaban was looking at before, and found Ridhima sitting in center between her friends, they were talking less and giggling more which gave Aniqa idea that they must be talking about Aaban.

"Weren't you going out with Sejal?" She turned to Aaban and asked

"We broke up last year. Waise bhi, you know me, I'm a free bird and no one can cage me." Stirring his coffee, Aaban answered.

"Sudhar jao. Jis tarah se tum Roz ek nayi ladki ke sath date pe jate ho, kisi din pit jaoge." Adish couldn't help but advised him, But his voice held humor.

(Be careful. The way you go out with different girl every day will get you in trouble.)

Aaban just waved him away.

"Yeh kisi din pit jayega tab mujhe sukoon ayega." Aniqa added while glaring at Aaban.

(I really wish he gets good beating.)

"So, Adish, I guess it will be you and me. As I don't want to go with Ahil. Ahil in book store is same as a kid in candy store. And I don't want to handle a kid with book high."

"I don't have any business in town." Suddenly, Adish's cheerfully modd turned down and he carelessly said.

"You'll stay here?" Ahil closed his book and asked.

"But you never stayed at school. I mean, even on weekdays you sneaked out with Aaban." Aniqa confusingly asked.

"That was when we were in school. Waise bhi Roz Roz ek hi town Jake Kya kare? I'll catch up my sleep." Adish shrugged his shoulder.

(What will I do in the town where I have been going from years?)

"But....." Aniqa opened her mouth to say something, but Ahil told her to be quiet.

"Are you okay, Emaya?" Eira asked her little sister.

In answer, Emaya could only sneeze. She was sick from last night, that's why she was staying in her sisters' dorm as she felt scared alone.

"You'll feel nice after outing." Eira tried to cheer her up.

"I don't feel like leaving my bed." Emaya was wrapped in warm blanket with a cup of warm cocoa in her hands.
