Chapter 3

Aurora's POV:
I was stunned. The voice carries like the wind and just like his scent was heavenly. I looked around the room checking that nobody else was here and that he was definitely talking to me. I know it sounds like a silly thing to do but, I haven't actually spoken to anyone and nobody has been able to see me. Well apart from Alec it seems. Slowly, I looked up at him and couldn't stop myself staring. He was the biggest piece of eye candy I had ever seen. (A/N: I would describe Alec but I'm a lazy little shit, just imagine him like in the movie) Cautiously, I raised my arm and pointed to myself. I didn't want to get my hopes up just for them to be crushed. Nobody had seen me before what's to say that he would be any different. "Yes you. Who are you?" He responded to my silent question "Aurora, Aurora Black" I answered
"How are you here? Why are you here?" it was obvious that he had his guard up now. I don't blame him, he probably heard about me being the reason that Carlisle and Esme were here. "Ummm... I'm not to sure on the first question, I woke up about three years after my birth to be like this. Nobody has actually seen me apart from you, actually now that I think about it this is my first conversation" I smiled slightly at that "and as to why I'm here, I couldn't stay stuck in that house I'd only been there two days and I couldn't be around my family. My mother just cries and my father comforts her without trying to break down too. It's depressing. When Carlisle said that he would be coming here with Esme I figured why not? Gets me out of that depressing house and onto an adventure" he let his guard down slightly "oh... do you want everyone to know you are here? It would help Carlisle figure out what's wrong with you" he suggested
"No. I don't. I like spying on the people here. It's fun and they would just force em to go back. Did you know that the feared Felix Volturi sings in the shower? And Demetri dances around his bedroom when he has alone time?" I asked, he looked at me with raised eyebrows before finally putting his whole guard down and laughing. "Really?! I need a video of that. Brilliant blackmail material" it was my turn to raise my eyebrows, I just rolled my eyes too "boys" I shook my head, before something struck me. I had never been able to touch something or someone without going straight through them. Would it be the same with Alec? "Can I touch you?" I asked
"I'm sorry?" He questioned in confusion
"I've just never been able to touch someone without going through them... I wondered if it would be the same for you" I explained, he looked unsure and I wondered if I had put off the one person who could see, hear and talk to me; but he simply held out his hand. I smiled at him before praying to whatever was out there that I could touch him. I'd only known him five minutes not even that and I seem to be drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Cautiously, I placed my hand on top of his. I could feel it. I could feel the sparks that seemed to spread through both out hands. I was still shocked that my hand didn't go through his. I could feel a wide smile spreading over my face. Alec looked at me and flipped our hands over so that his was on top and mine underneath. Still looking at me he interlocked our fingers. I looked up at him and smiled. We started to get to know each other then.
I learnt about his sister Jane and his life with the Volturi, his gift of sense deprivation and how he doesn't like how everyone fears him and his sister. He feels that his a monster, I quickly stamped down that belief and told him that if I ever heard or got an inkling that he felt that he was a monster I'd slap him into next Tuesday. He stayed away from the topic of his human life and how he does and I respected it I mean we had only met each other today and yet it felt like we had known each other for years.
I told him about my short life. How when I was born I was born healthy but asleep, how I'd missed out on my childhood because I'd literally slept through it. How I woke up sort of like this. How nobody could see me. How I hated being invisible and how I was happy that he could see me, even if it was only him. He didn't look at me with sympathy like I thought he would, he simply hugged me. I could feel the sparks that spread through both our bodies wherever they touched bare skin. The action seemed to have not only shocked me but him as well. He didn't seem like the hugging type.
The moment was ruined when someone knocked on the door. Alec stood up and walked over to it, his mask back on. Throwing open the door, he spoke in an emotionless voice scaring whoever was on the other side. Seriously I could feel the fear coming off of them in waves. "Yes?" he asked coldly. The vampire on the other side of the door gulped in fear and stuttered out "M...master Aro... wa...wants to see you" he finally managed to get out, honestly.  Alec slammed the door on the vampire and walked over to his desk picking up hos coven necklace that I didn't notice he had taken off. It must have been before he noticed me. He smiled at me one last time taking my hand, the sparks emanating out of our hands again and kissed it. "I'll join you Alec, you just can't acknowledge me" I spoke softly before winking and walking straight through the door. Alec opened it, just in time to see me go through the vampire outside who shivered at the feeling and looked around bewildered, before looking back at Alec who had the same unamused and bored expression that seemed to rest on his face outside of his bedroom. He walked straight past the guard not even acknowledging him and down the corridor. I brushed my hand against his to let him know that I was there. A small smile barely visible twitched on his face.
