Want You Back - 5 Seconds of Summer

oOoOo

A week later, Grace comes over to our place for a girl's night. It's much needed since the three of us haven't spent time alone together since December.

"I brought the wine," she exclaims as she walks in the back door.

I rummage through one of the kitchen drawers for a wine opener.

"What are we doing tonight?" Blair asks, walking into the room.

"Don't know yet,"I say as I open the wine. "Maybe watch a movie? Or play a game?"

"Sounds good to me." Blair sets three wine glasses down on the counter. I pour the wine and hand the girls their glasses.

We move into the living room and turn on Netflix. I bring the bowls of popcorn with us.

"What about The Kissing Booth?" I suggest when Netflix finishes loading.

"Nah. I watched it before. It's not very good," Grace says.

"What?" I thought it was cute," Blair says.

"The plot was alright, but the acting was really forced in my opinion," Grace shrugs.

I continue scrolling through the rom-com options. "Okay, what about The Notebook?"

"Eh, we always watch that," Blair comments. True. We did watch it two days ago, after all.

"Bridesmaids?"

"Watched it last week. Wasn't my favorite," Grace says as she sips her wine.

I'm starting to wonder if Grace likes any movie at this point.

"Okay... Valentine's Day? It's almost February, so it's fitting," I suggest, nearing my wits' end.

"Sure. I don't think I've seen this film before," Blair says.

Grace merely shrugs. It's not a no.

Finally, something she doesn't reject!

I press play. We lean back on the couch and relax as the movie unfolds.

Two hours later, the movie wraps up. We're out of popcorn and wine, so I send Blair into the kitchen to get more snacks. She returns with M&M's and Sour Patch Kids.

I yawn and stretch my stiff limbs. "What do you guys want to do now?"

"Do you still have the Wii?" Grace asks.

I slowly get up to check the cabinet under the TV.

"Yep. We have Wii Sports... MarioKart, and... Just Dance," I say as I take the games out of the basket.
