Hector dove into the ocean and swam to the bank of the island surrounding his favourite lagoon. As he reached the shore he tore off his wet shirt and threw it to the side; the song had stopped but he knew exactly where to go.

Kila began to grow tired and decided that it was about time to head back to her pod. Before she dove into the water she thought she heard someone call her name; she looked around the beach surrounding the lagoon and saw no one. She shook her head and sighed, she missed him so much she was starting to hear things.

"Kila..." called a familiar husky voice. Kila spun herself around in the water and there he was, sat at the edge of the water near the rocks she once hid behind. Kila stayed still in her spot unable to move, she was shocked to see him.  How on earth would he think to find her there, Kila dove into the water and swam towards the shore.

She popped her head up and stared at Hector.  The moon was bright enough to highlight the curves of his muscles and his wet, slicked back hair.  He was stunning and Kila couldn't help but gawk at him; she had missed him terribly.

"Kila..." Hector repeated starting to walk into the water.  He was so relieved to see her and wanted to hold her and kiss her. He was slightly afraid of her because of the anger she most likely had pent up, but his judgment was clouded by his eagerness to get to her.  Kila watched like a hawk as he treaded closer to her, she too starting to swim closer to him.
As they came close enough to touch each other, Hector reached out for her but Kila backed away.  She saw the hurt in his eyes and it nearly broke her but, she wanted to let him know how angry she was.

"I've never seen yer tail before" Hector said with a smirk, trying to break the silence.  Kila grimaced at him, hate swimming within her eyes.  Hector knew she wasn't in the mood and that he'd have to explain himself to her; for any chance of winning her back.

"Kila...I know it be foolish ta try and explain meself, bu' I need ta tell you...Leavin be my intention of keepin ye safe.  If ye were ta be hur' I'd never forgive meself- I never wanted ta leave ye, it killed me- that's why I came back" Hector preached.

Kila stared at him, being unable to express how she felt she swam slowly toward Hector and placed her hand on his chest.  They were now face to face staring straight into each others eyes.

"I told you not to leave. You left, and I can't trust" Kila whispered sadly.  Hector looked away from her in shame, he truly felt terrible; but his intentions were honourable and honest.  Kila placed her other hand on his cheek, gently forcing him to look at her again.

"I can't trust, but I want you, and I can't ever get you out of my mind" Kila said with a slight smile. Hector sighed and looked away from her again; he felt ashamed, the first time he ever felt love and he betrayed her.  He'd never forgive himself for leaving her. It was as if all Kila's anger has disappeared, she was so happy to be close to him again.

Kila could sense he was not telling her something and he could hardly look at her.  She knew what was bothering him, and she wanted him to know that she was okay. "Hector" Kila called out gently "I forgive" she finished.

Hector looked up at her and raised his eyebrows, he slowly started to smile as what she said fully processed. He wrapped his arms around her torso and pulled her body into his; they stared into each others eyes for a few moments.

"Kila..." He grumbled. Kila nodded her head and smiled, running her fingers through his hair.
"I wan' ye ta know-I love ye" He whispered. Kila furrowed her brow and looked at him quizzically causing Hector to chuckle. Hector lowered his head brushing his lips against Kila's; not innocently, like a tease but hot, fiery, passionate and demanding.
"Kila, I want you" he whispered slowly, and sensually.  Kila couldn't help but smile, as her heart began fluttering at his deep, husky voice. Kila placed her hands  on either side of Hectors face and pressed her lips against his.

Their reuniting kiss was slow and filled with longing, both content on being back in each others embrace. Kila pulled away and took one shaky breath.

"Take me to the beach" Kila whispered kissing Hectors cheek. Hector smiled and hoisted her up bridal style, headed for the small beach off the lagoon.

As the pair laid on the warm sand wrapped in each others arms Kila looked up at Hector and smiled.

"What is love?" Kila asked as she slowly drew circles on Hectors chest.  Hector kissed the top of her head and smiled down at her, there would be a lot he'd have to teach her.

"For now, it be sumthin ye say ta someone ye really like" Hector explained in the simplicity way he could so that she'd understand.  Kila nodded her head and kissed Hectors cheek, laying her head back down on Hectors chest.

"Okay, I love, but don't leave again!" Kila said making Hector laugh again; he was sure she was sincere, it was her bluntness he found humorous.

"I won' ever leave ye, I swear" Hector said squeezing her closer to him. Silence fell over the pair and Hector began to think of how their relationship can work, so he could keep her safe. He wondered if she would ever consider leaving the ocean for good.
