Chapter Ten

Jake Pov

I walked back to Erika room with the bandages and the food and once I walked in I saw them and by them Annabelle and Rik cuddle up sleeping so I gently tap Erika to wake her up and she woke up but confuse until she caught her conscious back and she said

Erika: "Hey Jakey welcoming back."

Jake: "Hey Rik thanks let's get you wrapped up so I could feed you too."

Erika: "Thanks Jakey."

I smiled at her wrapped her up and once I was finished I picked up Annabelle she slept on me why I wrapped her up without waking her up and every time I looked up I saw Erika looking at me with a smile on her face but turns away faster than lighten once she sees me looking but I smiled back at her and continue to finish my job until I heard Erika say

Erika: "Can I eat I am hungry."

Jake: "Yes go ahead."

Erika: "Thanks."

She smiled at me and started to eat why I laid Annabelle down and once I was putting her down she yelled

Annabelle: "Daddy."

I froze and Erika she froze but wiped her head around at us looking shocked at Annabelle and once she comes back to reality she said

Erika: "I...I am sorry."

Jake: "It's ok Rik it happens."

Erika: "Oh thanks for not being mad."

Jake: "Dom't worry I wasn't I actually found it shocking but when reality sunk it was really cute."

Erika: "Oh thank gosh."

I laughed and was about to put down Annabelle until she kept cheering

Annabella: "I'm hungry, I'm hungry."

Erika came over and grabbed her from my arms and went to the table to feed her. But after that I went over there to eat with them I grabbed the burger and fries I bought up for me and devoured it down and once I was doing that Erika looked at me in pure laughter and said

Erika: "You must be hungry."

Jake: "Uh duh I was starving."

Erika: "Sorry."

Jake: "Why are you sorry."

Erika: "I kept you waiting."

Jake: "It's ok it isn't your fault it's mine."

Erika: "Yeah but I was your distraction."

Jake: "Yeah but at least your ok and healthy."

Erika: "Thanks again for everything I really mean it Jake I am truly appreciated."

Jake: "Your welcome Erika."

We got up from the table and hugged and she still had Annabelle in her arms she was clapping and laughing when we hugged. We end up laughing with her. But once we pulled away Erika walked away and put her down to go to sleep and with in seconds she was out like a light and I said

Jake: "Man I wish."

Erika: "You wish what."

Jake: "I could hit the pillow or bed and just fall asleep like Annabelle."

Erika: "I know right."

Jake: "Lucky duckling."

Erika: "Yes she is."

We giggled a little and looked at each other and than I said

Jake: "Ok I am going in my room and get ready to go to sleep if you need anything come on over."

Erika: "Thanks Jake."

Jake: "You welcome Goodnight."

Erika: "Goodnight."

We smiled at each other and I left to go to my room and once I arrived I went to go to take a nice warm shower and got dressed and put my glasses on to read and turned on my little bed side lamp on and turned off the main light and jumped in to bed and got out a comic book my dad and grandpa left and I relaxed and read it in peace in quite.

30 Mintues Later

It 10:13 the lights start flickering and once the did we lost power and within seconds Erika came in with her phone flash light and Annabelle and went to get in my bed until she stopped and said

Erika: "Your your your..."
