Jason's POV

The night before we leave the house is a tomado as we all walk around, trying to make sure that we have everything we need.

Both Nick and I have been wearing Scent Neutralizer, our impending Monthly in a day or so making it almost hard to breath around him without slamming him against the wall.

    Which I've already done. Twice.

And the crazy shit is, the Runt likes it when I'm rough with him. He likes it most when I tell him sweet things and being mean to his body.

'I can't wait to have them under us.' Ryan says, his pacing primal and impatient as he waits, and I groan my agreement before I go back to placing the rest of my folded clothes in my suitcase.

'I just hope we don't get caught.' I say, even though I know Clary, Nya and Luis will do all they can to make sure we're not.

'It doesn't matter if they do, we could always take care of them. No one can run forever.' Ryan snarls and I raise my brows at how possessive he has gotten then past few days. While Monthlies effect our wolves more than us, Ryan has always been soft and patient, while stubborn and chill. I never expected to have to put him asleep because he tried to push me to shift and bite Nathan's neck off in the middle of the hallway.

'We have to be good, or else they'll take us away from Nick and Benny.' I tell him, reminding myself just as much as I am him.

I check my back pack five times and make sure it's all packed before I sigh and decide to get the talk that I know is coming out of the way.

I walk out of my room and make my way downstairs where I find my mom and dad sitting at the kitchen table talking, their voices going silent as soon as I walk in. Though of course it's my mom that breaks the sudden quiet in the room. "Come sit with us Jason." She says tapping the spot on the table across from her.

I sigh to myself before I walk over and slide into the seat, ready for whatever they're about to say.

"You've been doing really good with being there with your brother and sister lately and we want to make sure that behavior continues. You need to watch after Nick and make sure that nothing happens to him. And keep Clary out of trouble." Dad starts, trying to be as chill as he can, and I appreciate but I know what they're really telling me.

They're saying that for once, I'm not fucking things up and this trip is a great opportunity to slide back down the hill I bled on to get up. They think I'll leave Nick to the humans and let Clary get away with murder.

Little do they know just how much Nick would be under my wing on this trip, but I don't say anything even as Mom opens here about to add on.

"I know you don't care about your brother being an Omega or anything about it, but you need to protect him. You need to look after him and you need to make sure no one is going to try anything." She says and I frown. While my parents have always been extra protective of Nick, this is the first time I've seen her go this overboard.

"Mom, we will be fine. I know how to take care of both of them while also treating them like their own person." I tell her, not liking how she's talking about my ability to take care of my Mate.

"This isn't a joke Jason." She says and I lean back at the flicker of her eyes that turn black for a second, Mama Reta peaking out for only a second before she's gone.

Before she can continue, my dad places his hand on her shoulder and whispers something in her ear too close for me to hear before she gets up and walks away without another word.

"Shes just worried. It's you guys first trip without us and you know how sensitive and small Nick is. Just be careful and make sure that all three of you come home safe." Dad tells me and I nod with a frown before he waves me away with his signature smile and I get up, feeling a little confused by the whole interaction.

When I get back upstairs I find Clary sitting in my room. "That was weird." She tells me and I nod my head. "You ready?" She asks me, and I laugh.

    "Not at all. You?"

"I think this will be fun." She says and I roll my eyes at her excitement over this trip. "See you in the morning." She says before she gets up and leave and I turn off my lights and pull back my blankets before I find myself at the door between Nick and I room, knocking on it softly.

My hand goes to lay flat on it as I hear him come closer, my nose twitching in annoyance when I can't pick up his scent even though I know it's for the best.

"Goodnight." I whisper against the fake wood and I can hear his hand falling on to the door as well, a few inches below mine making me smile.

"Night." He says back and I wait until he's back in bed before I lay down and hope that everything goes to plan.

In case any of you are wondering, yes Mama Reta is his moms wolf. Wolves are aware of both of their parents forms. What did you think about how weird they were acting?
