THE DINNER table was served with all kinds of main courses and side dishes spread on the table, her grandmother seated at the head. Light music was filling the room along with Nara's mother's chatters.

The girl shifted uncomfortably in her seat, hearing her mother's voice, distant yet near. She wanted nothing to do with these types of family dinners, despite loving her grandmother very much. It was all very staged, and she couldn't help the smothering atmosphere filled with thick apprehension.

"Taehyung, I heard you're starring in a movie with Kim Seokjin?" Her mother suddenly brought up, side-eyeing her daughter that was seated beside Taehyung. Nara could only bite back her tongue. It wasn't entirely new news that Taehyung was the favorite, nor did her mother support her decision on taking up art instead of Architecture. She fiddled with her food, eyes zoning out as she played with the rice on her plate, the oil smearing on the white porcelain.

"Oh, yes. We just got mailed the script yesterday, it's very interesting, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." Taehyung said, despite his strained response. The tension was deafening, especially with Taehyung and Nara only barely forgiving one another after their dispute. The anger between them was dim, but still very much present, and the anger and agony Nara held for her mother had ignited, only growing within the few seconds she's paid no attention to her daughter. She clutched on her chopsticks, hearing the pleasing hum from her mother.

"What about you, Nara? How is university treating you, angel?" Their grandmother spoke up, silently scolding her youngest daughter for treating Nara unfairly with her eyes, even after all these years, she has avoided the youngest. "It's going well, halmeoni. One of my paintings got sold last week." Nara beamed, although forced, she couldn't help but let herself feel warm at her grandmother's attempt to make her feel welcomed. Her grandmother smiled in response, a proud look gleaming behind her eyes.

"I heard from Taehyung that you've been hanging around Min Yoongi? You do know he's four years older than you, right, Nara?" With the mention of Yoongi, Nara couldn't help but freeze, eyes trailing up to find Taehyung, feeling him in his seat. She could practically smell the discomfort coming off of him, and she certainly didn't enjoy the hard gaze set upon her. It was stern, making the girl squirm.

"He is a rich bachelor, however, he seems a little too mysterious for my liking." Her mother voiced her disapproval, and Nara couldn't help but twitch, snapping her eyes towards the woman seated across from her. "Do you disapprove of everything I do?" She wanted to ask, but it would be clear where that would end up.
