Allie cleared her throat and addressed the ten elementals in front of her. "From now on, all of you here are elites of Moondoor. This threat is like nothing we have ever seen before, we must face it."

The ten nodded with determined smiles on their faces.

"The Defenders of Moondoor will be Lyra, Killian, Henrik, Cora, Mia and Seraphina. The group investigating will be myself, Merlin, Aquila, Brown and Kestrel."

They nodded and the Defenders of Moondoor scurried into the main hall, then into the Firefly Tower's main room.

"So, what's our plan?" Mia asked, folding her arms as the students went to their next classes. The noise drowned out everything else. "Hopefully we get to save the day heroically and get showered in medals."

Henrik put his free hand on his hips, shifting his belt, "We are continuing the lessons, but the School is on strict lockdown. I'll check if there are people in the Village and the Camp and bring them here." he explained, already outside. "There shouldn't be as the Galilean Moon Festival is taking place at the Northern Isles..." he trailed off.

"I'll come with you." Lyra called, chasing after him, her dark hair swaying.

Killian turned to Cora, Seraphina and Mia, "That leaves us. None of you are Shadow, are you?" he enquired, shifting his grey eyes.

They shook their heads.

"Right. OK. We can't use Shadow Watch." he hesitated, stepping backwards, and flopping onto the swivel chair. "Send your Souls to run or fly around the area, let us know if they spot something."

Ember bounded out of the door with her tail swooping at her sides and splashing fire in the air, followed by Dash scurrying and Clover, who spread her wings to their full extent.

Killian's Soul looked at him, she was a vibrantly coloured maned wolf with long, velvety antlers and dark legs like branches, "You too, Em."

Emery stalked out, her head hanging low and her black nose snuffling at the ground.

Cora, Seraphina, and Mia all stood in a line with their arms swaying at their sides.

"So," Cora began, "What now?"

"So, where do we start?" Merlin asked as they walked down the path to the Camp.

"We have a lead, but we don't think that was the one with the rest of the missing elementals." Allie explained.

"Well," Kestrel began, "We went looking for my sister at the Jeger base, then I made some friends, they have missing elementals too, so we went looking for them, we found tracks, then they got captured."

"I see." Allie said, pushing open the heavy wooden door into the meeting room.

"Allie." a voice said.

Allie turned to the voice and her eyes narrowed, "Jackie."

Sara lay on her back; her eyes were stinging from the intoxicating smell that filled the cell. The thin streaks of light were brightening, though Sara didn't know what time of day this was. She assumed nearing midday as her stomach had started to ache.

Glancing around the room, her eyes flowed across the metal doors.

This cell must not have been used before as everything was clean and new.

Either that, or they were cleaned after every prisoner, which Sara didn't think was the kind of thing that they would do.

Sara propped herself up against the wall as she heard a familiar sound of Atti's warm voice.
