I'm giving my favorite rarepair some well-deserved affection!!

• Makoto is an atheist, so he doesn't celebrate any religious holidays such as Christmas
• Shuichi does celebrate Christmas, but he doesn't force Mako to participate in anything.
• Angsty hc- Makoto is surprised at this because a lot of his old classmates before HPA tried to make him celebrate Christmas; this includes the teachers
• Shuichi went "sweetheart your old school was fucked." You know, like any semi-decent human being would
(Just in case I'm not getting the point across-Christmas isn't a global holiday and you aren't obligated to participate if you don't want to, fuck all the sons of bitches that try telling you otherwise)
• Since Makoto doesn't celebrate Christmas, they instead just look at things like light shows and stay at home watching pretty snow
• But their favorite thing to watch every year has to be the winter equinox
• One of the only holiday movies Makoto liked watching was Rudolph, so they watch that, some non-holiday trashy romcoms, and Home Alone while cuddling
• Of course Makoto still joins in on the festivities and gets Christmas themed stuff because it makes Shuichi happy
• What with Mako's luck, of course he gets sick, and Shu takes care of him with Komaru calling frequently
• Once it clears up, he insists on going to a Christmas tree lighting to make up for it
• Family reunions!!
• Shuichi's relationship with his parents is.. strained, especially after he came out as trans, and greysexual biromantic
• But his relationship with his uncle is really good, so those reunions are fun, and Uncle Saihara really approves of Makoto's influence
• And the Naegi family? Oh they're the most supportive people alive, they adore Shuichi
• Lots of wintertime baking and fun gifts at them too
All in all, they do a mix of Christmas themed and non-holiday activities and have cute family reunions with snacks and hot chocolate.
