I threw myself into bed when I got home and closed my eyes. Hindi na ako nagbihis dahil tinatamad ako. I feel so exhausted. Bago ako makauwi ay pinagalitan pa ako ni Ion dahil may nabasag daw na stand ng mic. 

Aba malay ko don. Mic ang nabasag ko at hindi ang stand. I'm pretty sure it wasn't broken, he just wants me to stay in the studio to order me around.

Gusto'ng gusto niya talaga iyong nahihirapan ako. He's starting to succeed actually. I'm starting to think about quitting. Pwede naman akong maghanap ng kahit anong internship. Pwede'ng gaya ng internship ni Danae. She's an assistant teacher in a pre-school institution. O di kaya ay gaya ng internship ni Nhor. He's interning on a nearby cafe as a barista.

Pero hindi eh. Teaching kids is not my thing. Making coffee is not my thing. Wala doon ang interest ko, nasa pag-awit lang talaga.

I groaned when my phone beeped. I took it out from my pant's pocket and took a peek on the screen. 

Danae: What's up, Aria! Whatcha doin?

Aria: Dead inside. Need coffin now. Wanna die.

Danae: Aww, what happened. Can I come over?

Aria: Okay, I'll prepare meryenda.

Danae: Okidoki, sarapan mo ah. Isasama ko si Nhor.

Aria: Yeah, sure.

Danae and Nhor were my best friends since elementary. Back then, I was the type of girl who sits in the corner of the room all by myself. Until my adviser partnered me with the two most noisy kids in the class. Of course it was the ever energetic Danae and the girly, funny Nhor.

They were both my supporters from the very beginning aside from my family. Their ears were always there to listen to my performances and compositions. Sa tuwing magsusulat ako ng kanta ay lagi sila'ng nandyan para i-point out kung alin ang maganda at hindi.

They were the kind of friends who stays beside you no matter how tough their situation is. Mula elementary ba naman hanggang college ay mag bestfriends kami. We help each other as much as we could. They were always there, the reason why I love them both.

I was about to enter the kitchen to prepare our snacks which I promised Danae when my phone rang. Nagtaka pa ako dahil hindi naman ako madalas tawagan ng mga tao unless kung emergency o di kaya'y trip lang nila Danae.

I gasped when I saw the caller's name that flashed on my phone's screen. 

Tito Arman.

 

I'm doomed.

"Sissybells, nandito na ang mga Dyosa!"

"Nasaan ang meryenda?"

Yan kaagad ang bungad nila pagkapasok sa bahay. Danae is wearing a blue off-shoulder dress and white sandals. Naka suot naman ng black shirt si Nhor na may white print na "Eat Me" tapos ay sweatshorts.
