I really want to tell you that I got an internship as a singer in a nearby restaurant. They want to hire me because they saw my potential as a singer. The salary is good and the crew is nice. Wala rin akong bruhilda'ng manager.

Unfortunately, no. I don't have that kind of story.

"Good morning, Ma'am! Welcome to The Brewery!"

The woman smiled at me when I greeted her. She lined among the queue of customers. Kaagad akong bumalik sa pagmo-mop ng sahig.

I felt that I wasn't really needed at the preschool since Danae's already there so when Nhor said na may available slot na daw sa coffee shop nila, I took the job. When Miss Kathy rejected my proposal a week ago, I gave up looking for interning jobs related to music.

But I'm not really that confident to perform in front of the crowd.

The place is crowded but quiet. The shop's atmosphere is relaxing and appealing to everyone. Fit for people who's on a tight budget.

I greeted everyone I passed by quietly. I went to the counter to help serve some of the customers.

"That would be 99 pesos Ma'am, I received 100 pesos. Here's your table number and chang," I said politely before smiling towards the next customer.

Paulit-ulit lang ang ganoon. The one who left which I replaced, is sick so he took a one week leave.

But this won't be long.

I've been close to the management's crew. Lahat sila ay mababait. For a few days of working here,  I must say that everyone is diligent with their jobs. They love the shop as much as I do.

I took my phone out when I felt it vibrating inside my pants. We are currently having a break on one of the tables here.

"Excuse me, guys. I just have to take this call," I smiled at them.

"Uy, sino yan Aria? Boyfriend mo?" One of the girls, Kaye, asked and giggled.

Umiling ako. "Of course not. It's an unregistered number." I showed them my phone bago naglakad na palabas ng shop. I took a seat on the bench outside before answering the call.
