"Stay with me Briley come on wake up." I hear Corey say
We arrive at the hospital and he helps me out of the car carrying me in.
"I need help." He screams
The doctors put me down in the bed and rush me into the surgery rooms.
"Hey Marcus its Corey, brileys best friend she's been in an accident come to the hospital.
It's been two hours and nobody has heard a word on her state.
"She will be fine don't worry." Corey says touching Marcus shoulders
"Don't touch me right now Corey I don't wanna hurt you." He says shaking
They arrive at the hospital and the boys park the car while marcus and Corey run into the emergency entrance and wait for the receptionist to answer
"Are you family." She asks
"Yes they are her cousins." Taylor says arriving behind them.
"And you are." She says
"I'm her brother and so are these." He says
"Room 300." She says
They all run down the hall and press the elevator button and enter it.
Once they reach the third floor they walk off and open her door and see her lying there with wires attached to her and doctors filled in her room.
"Is she gonna be okay." Taylor asks
The doctor looks at them all with sad eyes and walks over to them.
"I'm sorry but your friend has brain damage and will need to undergo surgery as she hasn't woken up and she seems to have no brain activity.
"Your trying to tell me my sister has no brain activity and there's nothing you can do." Taylor says crying
"I'm sorry." Is all the doctor says before walking away
"This is all my fault." Marcus says getting teary
"No it's not your fault at all Marcus you weren't even there." Corey says
Marcus walks silently into the room and sits by her side holding her hand as Taylor rings their friends and Joey just stands there looking at the lifeless body of his baby sister.
It's been 4 weeks and the friends arrive and wait for news but there's nothing from the doctors yet.
Marcus hasn't left brileys side he hasn't even slept worried if he does she will wake up and be scared.
"Please don't leave me my love." He says crying
He lays there holding her hand waiting for her to somehow wake up.
He ends up falling asleep holding her hand and he's awoken to someone calling his name.
"Marcus." Someone says
"What." He says
"Go home." Brileys brother says
"I'm not leaving her side Taylor." He says
He smiles sadly at Marcus and kisses his baby sisters forehead before walking out and heading back home.
I wake up in a dark place and I'm scared I don't know where I am.
"Marcus." I call out
"Marcus where are you." I scream
I feel his presence but I can't see him and I'm scared.
"Marcus help me please." I yell out
"It's gonna be okay." Someone says
"Wake up please love." I hear
"Marcus." I scream
"I love you." They say
"Marcus I love you too." I yell
"Please wake up." I hear
I run towards this empty hospital room and it's dark and I can't see anything.
I see a light shine and I walk out of the room and look at it scared.
"Marcus please where are you I'm scared." I yell out
I head towards the bright light and then I hear my name.
"Briley don't please." I turn around and run to where I hear it.
The voice it's coming from the empty room I walked into.
"Briley please wake up." I hear
The voice is followed by a beeping sound and it's getting louder then I feel electricity pulsing through my veins.
"Ugh." I scream
This hurts what is it I think to myself and it happens again.
"Please someone help me." I scream
Someone grabs hold of my hand I can feel it but I can't seem to wake up.
"Briley I'm here follow the sound of my voice." I hear
So I do I follow the voice to the side of the bed and I lay down and I hear the voice again.
"Briley it's me please wake up." I know that voice is Marcus.
"I love you Briley I want you to live I want that more than anything in this world." He says
"I want you to fight like hell to stay with us." I hear
"But I know it might not be what you want. It might be to hard for you to keep fighting so if you want to go I want you to know it's okay." He says and I hear him sobbing by my side.
"It's okay. I understand." Is all he says
I start crying and I feel a tear fall down my cheek.
"Can you hear me." He says as I feel him wipe away a tear.
"I love you Briley I always will okay." He says and I feel him let go of my hand and I sob.
"Marcus where are you." I scream
I run out of the empty room and towards the exit of the hospital doors.
"Marcus ." I scream
"I'm so scared." I call out
"Hello sweetie." I hear a voice say
I turn around to see my mum and dad and run into their arms.
"Omg mum, dad." I sob
"Shh it's okay we're here." My mum says kissing my cheek
"It's not your time my sweet girl you need to go back." She says
"But I want to be with you." I sob
"There's plenty of time when you get older my sweet girl you finish school soon and have a man that loves you and a beautiful man at that." She says
"We will always be around munchkin." My dad says kissing my forehead
"I miss you guys so much." I sob
"We know sweetie and we miss you all as well now go before it's too late." My mum says hugging me one last time
I run towards these exit doors of the hospital and look back one last time.
