Nagito views hope as absolute good, that's stated in his free time events (FTE), so whenever he says he wants to bring hope to people he means he wants the good for everyone, even if he has to do drastic things to get it. But why you ask? Because he learned the hard way that to overcome traumatic situations you can't loose hope. Hope is what motivates him. All his life all he could do is hope.
