The drive home

Lena's POV

The drive too my so called home had just begun I knew from my social worker that the house was two hours away from the airport and barely fifteen minutes in I could feel my eyelids begin too drop I was exhausted although I had already slept I knew my body needed the rest in order for me too recover and hopefully this would be the last time my body would have too heal from the amount of damage it had suffered I felt my eyelids close and I was welcoming the darkness hopefully this time it'd be peaceful and at lest Leon wouldn't be able too question me I thought happily too myself as I slipped further away from reality and into a deep sleep

Leon's POV
I looked into the rear view mirror for the third time in fifteen minutes I just couldn't believe that she was here my baby sister as I was stopped at a light and looking through the mirror I could see her eyelids begin too cover those beautiful orbs she was having an eternal battle wether too let her exhaustion win or not but in the end she let it take over and I saw her slip into a deep sleep she looked so sweet and angelic she really was a picture of beauty which is why I was thinking too myself why she'd applied so much make up she was a beauty she didn't need it it made me mad too think my baby sister thought she had too wear make up too be beautiful I was confused as too why and maybe this is why she was so small and frail too whoever put the idea into her head that she needed make up will wish they hadn't been born I thought too myself my grip tightened on the steering wheel and my knuckles turned white I let out a sigh and composed myself I needed too get her home where she belongs

After a short while we made it home and Lena wasn't stirring she must be exhausted I went too the back of the car I was going too gently wake her up but then decided against it as I unbuckled her and carried her inside holding her close as if she was a new born baby she really was light too light and I could tell I had studied medicine so I knew I would have too do something about this as I clambered up the stairs of our home it was quite the boys were still in school and Adam was most likely at work or in his home office I took a left at the top of the stairs and carried Lena too her room which was across from mine and next too adams and then as hers room I laid her on top of her bed covering her in a blanket shut the curtains and shut off the light before walking silently out of her room and downstairs too the main living room turning on the tv and letting out a breath I didn't realise I'd been holding in

Adams POV
I ran my fingers through my hair after a stressful day of work and ensuring our men knew their jobs for the week it was finally time that I could relax I walked out of my office and through the house too the living room where I saw Leon sat just in thought with the tv on as background noise I'd wandered how he'd got home so early from work
"What are you doing home so early?" I questioned him confused
"I didn't have work today rember " he stated calmly while looking at me but then turned his attention back too his thoughts and then it had hit me today was the day Lena had come home but then where was she because Atticus and Asher would be home any moment so she should be prepared too be introduced formally too everyone "where is she Leon she shouldn't of been left on her own before she knows the rules what if she wanders around?" I questioned him with a stern look on my face it wasn't hard too tell I was annoyed by this
"She's asleep she's exhausted I don't think she'll be up for meeting anyone until toommorow and I've already told the boys they can have the rest of the week of and fathers home on Sunday anyway" he stated before hastily walking away I was hoping too me my little sister today but I can understand that she's tired I guess it'll have tik wait until toommorow

I was snapped from my thoughts by the front door opening and two boys strolling into the room while bickering about some girl or something I wasn't really interested in what it was about but they were being too loud and we're going too wake Lena and she needed too rest "enough" my voice boomed and they both looked at me sheepishly with wide eyes only just noticing I was there "you two need too be quite your sister is resting I suggest you both go too your rooms and calm down you can sort your own dinners out tonight now leave me an Leon in peace unless it's an emergency" I said before walking away I had too think about toommorow and meeting our baby sister I was nervous and I'm never nervous I needed time too pull myself together
