Chapter Fifteen

When James reached his apartment, he called his parent who were in Japan and told them of the good news. His parents were pastors of a Christian church in Toyko, Japan, and they knew of his relationship with Mallorie. It was actually his parents who encouraged James to leave Japan and go to the United States. Once they heard of the good news, they were elated. James has two older brothers who were already happily married. Now, he would finally be able to experience the joys of marriage and oh, he couldn't wait. The next day, James and Mallorie and spoke of their wedding plans, and they planning it after Mallorie graduates the next summer at the end of June.

The following friday was Mallorie's and her family's last day in Texas and it was sad for Mallorie cause she really enjoyed her time with James and not to mention, Texas now branded sweet memories into her memory bank. She left college in a relationship and now she was going back to college as an engaged woman, she couldn't believe the turn of events! During Mallorie's last day, she spent it packing along with her mom and grandmother and then she hung out with James after he got off of work. When James got off work, he took Mallorie to nearby board walk where they silently walked together holding hands. It was bitter sweet for both James and Mallorie, because once again they were going to be separated for few months. Luckily, once Mallorie finished her junior year, she would be working at the same university that she got accepted into for her summer internship her sophomore year, but this time she would be getting paid more money and a better opportunities overall. Also, James had one semester to go for his masters degree and then he would be completely finished and Mallorie only had a year and a half left to go before she would be completely done.

As they were walking, they stopped and James took Mallorie into his arms.

"I'm gonna miss you Mallorie."
"I'll miss you too James."

"On the bright side we'll be married by next summer."
"I can't wait, who ever thought I'd be getting married at 21." she smiled.
"Is that how old you are, man you're so young." he said jokingly.
Mallorie playfully hit James in the chest, "hey, I'm not that young okay. Aren't you the one who's like 28."
"Ha ha, nice try sweetie you know i'm 24." he tried to sound firm but couldn't help but laugh at their banter.

"Well, in any case, I'm just happy to be getting married to you and no one else. You were the only person I could envision marrying James."

"I feel the same Mal, no other girl could take your place."

James lightly kissed Mallorie on the forehead and cradle her cheek in the palm of his hand. Her skin was such a smooth and soft decadent shade of chocolate brown. Everything about her was absolutely beautiful and he loved her, a lot. Then Mallorie stepped even closer to James and wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug and James in response pulled her closer and nuzzled her neck. The two stayed like that for a while, just basking in each other's love and embrace. Finally, after a few minutes, James kissed Mallorie long and deep, using his sensuous mouth to convey what words could not express. Mallorie completely experienced the most amazing feelings in his arms as she was carried away by these intense, but wonderful feelings coursing through her. When they broke apart for air, they were both breathless. Afterwards, James took Mallorie back to her hotel room to finish up packing and when they would be leaving for the airport, James would escort them and help them with their luggage. The next morning came and Mallorie and her family had to be at the airport at 7:30am, so James went over to pick them up at 5:25am.

Sure enough, when he went over to pick them up, they were all exhausted and bleary-eyed. Nonetheless, they arrived at the airport and James helped them with their luggage as much as he could, but before he knew it, he had to leave so he could get ready for work. But before he left he hugged everyone and hugged Mallorie just a little bit longer before he kissed her on the forehead and told her goodbye along with everybody else. It was a bittersweet moment, but time would fly and soon they would be in each other's arm again.
