Instead he got put on a Scout ship with just one other soul and sent on a five month mission out into deep space. The mission quickly becomes more than the young commander could have ever expected and the fate of humanity lies in how fast he can return back to humanity. This short story is just over 18,000 words and contains sexual content between two men, so If that's not your cup of tea.. don't read :) This is my first attempt at something like this, so feedback is welcome, though be nice :)

To prevent further loss of life and to fight this threat, Humanity once more turned to the KAN-SEN program, managing to scrounge up 7 active Wisdom Cubes from deep storage to fight the threat. These 7 Cubes formed 7 Space Going KAN-SEN who had a very tall order in front of them, identify the assailants, stop the attacks, and bring a lasting peace to the universe. Unbeknownst to anyone involved however, 2 of these KAN-SEN were not pleased with serving human masters.
