Tom's POV
"Edd has been bugging me to get a job for a few months now, but I don't know any job that fits me." I told Tord, leaning back my chair.

"Well, what hobbies do you enjoy partaking in?" Tord asked.

"Hmm. I enjoy playing my bass, Susan." I shrugged.

"Ah yes, Susan. Maybe you should work at a music shop then." Tord suggested.

"Yeah maybe. What about you, do you have any jobs at the moment?" I asked, curiously.

"Well, it's not THAT important." Tord said.

"No no, I would like to hear about it." I insisted.

Tord sighed. "Long story short, I am in-"
There was a sound at the door, a sound of the door unlocking itself, and then Edd and Matt were presented behind it.
"Guess who's back!" Edd cheered.

I flickered my 'eyes' to the clock, where I saw the time.
5:47 PM

It was a little earlier than 6, but I still couldn't believe I was talking to TORD, out of all people for that long. Maybe I had underestimated Tord, maybe he wasn't that bad after all. He is a fun person behind the jerk I used to know. I like this side of him much more.

"How was your mirror spree?" Tord asked.

"All of the mirrors were sold out." Matt frowned.

"Some guy must of bought them all, probably someone even more narcissistic than Matt. We decided to just go to the movies instead. We watched a few movies, until we got bored of them." Edd explained.

"What about dinner?" I asked.

"We didn't have enough time to bring anything home on the way back, so I'll just cook something. How did you two friends get along today?" Edd asked, putting his wallet on the counter.

"We're not friends." I shot Edd a glare, making Tord look over at me.

"Mhm sure." Edd rolled his eyes, as he started to cook something random.
I huffed and sat down on the living room couch, while Tord sat next to me casually. Matt had left to his room soon after, making me and Tord alone in the living room.
After a few minutes of no one talking and the sound of the tv in the background, Tord finally broke the silence.
"Am I really that bad?" Tord asked.

"Huh?- No no I just-" I sighed. "We've been through so much it's just- one day doesn't really make a difference."
Tord was silent for a few seconds. I rubbed the back of my neck, waiting for him to say anything else.
"I know I know. I was wondering if maybe you'd give me a second chance? We could start over. " Tord sighed.

I perked up at that, smiling. "I think I'd like that."

"Maybe we could go out to eat and talk- since we are starting over after all." He suggested.

"I'm getting weird dating vibes." I chuckled.

"Nope, not at all. I just wanted to find somewhere more private where we could talk." Tord said.

"You know, I'm starting to like the new you." Tom smiled.

"Oh really?"
"Really."

" Well I like this new side of you too." Tord smiled.
I couldn't help but awkwardly smile back.
"When do you want to go to the- y'know- 'friend hang out place-' or whatever you call it." I asked.

Tord laughed a bit. "It's just a simple coffee shop, and we can go anytime between now and after Christmas. Christmas IS just a month away after all. "

I growled lowly. "Lets go after Christmas. I hate that holiday." I mumbled.

"Oh, After Christmas it is then. I have a lot of plans for Christmas. " Tord smirked.

"I'm not excited to see what you got me now."

"Come on, I didn't get you dog shit or anything like last year, I promise." Tord said.
Yes, last year Tord gave me dog shit in a box for Christmas. The whole house smelled like shit for almost a week after that. I expect more from him this year, since we're apparently 'friends' now.

"Yeah, sure." I rolled my voids. "I've got something very special for you too. Don't get your hopes up though." I laughed.

"Now I want to know what it is." Tord said, raising his eyebrow.
When someone tells him something that he doesn't completely know, he wants to know more about it. It's a pain sometimes.

"You'll see on Christmas." I hummed.

"So, I see you'll actually be partaking in unwrapping gifts with us, right?" Tord asked.

"Yeah, but other than that I am staying in my room and drinking Smirnoff until I pass out dead." I said.

"I bet you will." Tord said.

"You underestimate how much I can drink in a couple of hours." I glared at him.
Nobody challenges me when it comes to how much Smirnoff I can choke down.

"Guys! I cooked spaghetti!" Edd yelled from the kitchen.
Ah yes, perfect timing.

"We will be in there in a second," Tord yelled to Edd, before turning back to me. "I bet I can race you back to the kitchen." He said, before getting up from the couch and running as fast as he can to the kitchen.

"Hey, no fair! You got a head start, you bastard!" I laughed, before getting up and running after him. Needless to say, he won the race.
Honestly, I hadn't laughed like that in a very long time. Not since one of Edd's stupid puns made me crack up. Maybe me and Tord being friends was a good thing.
Hopefully.

After I had ran into the kitchen, I was met by everyone else. Edd, Matt, and Tord were there. I must have been the last one in the kitchen.
I sat down at the table with the rest of them, and began to eat the spaghetti.
While I was eating- I didn't notice that I was staring at Tord. No one else did, of course, because no one could tell where I was looking.
Why was I staring at Tord? That's not normal for me. It was probably because of that goofy hair style he had. It had always distracted me.
Yeah, that's why.
