Nobody's POV

"Why would you even think about hiding something as serious as this from me? What is wrong with you?" Tom practically screeched. By this point he was full of anger.

It was the next morning, and Tom was fuming with anger. He didn't need sleep. He needed answers. And he was going to get them.
Edd and Matt were either asleep or up, but either way they were oblivious to this fight.

"Thomas, please, I can explain myself—"

"Please do! It would be humorous for me to hear your excuses." Tom snapped at him, crossing his arms.

"I'm.. sorry. I didn't want you to find out like this— I wanted to stop this eventually-"

"Stop what—"
"Stop interrupting me!" Tord snapped back. Tom shut his mouth, waiting for Tord to explain himself. He better have had a damn good excuse.

Tord sighed. "Yes, I am the red leader. It started off as normal but it built up into an empire, an empire made for me. I just couldn't quit my old ways."

"Tell me. How long has this been going on?" Tom asked, his voice was getting weaker.

"Years." Tord answered. He was ready for Tom to start fuming again.

"And you never once brought this up?!" Tom exploded, not listening to what Tord had to say anymore. "You killed hundreds of people! And for what?! You're own benefit?!"

"No. I was going to quit later on I swear." Tord corrected.

"From what I read, you were going to take over the world and leave us all behind. Am I not wrong?"

"That was from months ago. Before me and you bonded, before we got closer." Tord replied calmly, trying to not worsen the situation.

"I.. I can't believe you. You never even cared about me, did you?"

"Tom no! I'm sorry, this got way out of hand. If it means leaving the army behind, I will do it. I will."

"Stop with the fucking lies!" Tom growled, tears starting to form in his eyes. "I'm not going to be hurt or tormented by you."
He sniffed, facing away from Tord. "I should probably tell Edd about you. I won't let you hurt any of us anymore."

"Tom Listen, I would never—"

"No! You listen." Tom spoke, refusing to face him again.
"I'm finding a job. You should go back to your army."

Tord tried to say something but the words refused to leave his mouth.
"Tord. I can't.. I can't be with somebody like you. I can't trust you anymore."

"Thomas, this could be avoided if you just hear me out. I don't want to go back to that army. That ship has sailed, I just want to start over with you." Tord sighed, putting his arm on Tom's shoulder.

Tom was about to give in, but slapped his hand away instead. "You will never change. You are the same old commie that I hated in highschool. You are the same person I despised throughout grade school—"

"I am the same person you fell in love with." Tord protested, making Tom freeze.

"I don't know who I fell in love with anymore." Tom spoke out weakly.

Tord immediately frowned, knowing what was going to happen next.
"I'm sorry. I can't be with you." Tom looked down, trying to not make it seem like he was crying.

Tord balled up his fists, walking away from the scene. Before Tom could stop him, it was already too late. Tord had gotten away. Tom looked down at himself, wiping his 'eyes.'
Had he been too harsh?
He really didn't want to leave Tord. But if he didn't, Tord would leave him. He couldn't take that pain. He started to think what would have happened if he hadn't said what he said, if he hadn't even read through Tord's phone.
Could this have been avoided?

The thought of it just made Tom want to redo what happened, but he couldn't.
It was over.

As for Tord, he spent the rest of the day locked up in his room. Without Tom to motivate him, he was back to his old selfish ways.

Tom did the only thing he could do. He told Edd about who Tord really was. It was hard for him to do, but he did.
After Edd and Matt found out what had happened, they kicked Tord out immediately.
On the last day living in the house, Tord packed his bags early in the morning and walked outside to where a red car was supposed to be meeting him.

He sighed, turning around to see his old friends standing there, waiting for him to leave.
Despite having a new found hate for Tord; after what they had heard about him, they were still his friends. Thus, when Tord put his belongings in the trunk and jumped into the car, his friends waved back at him.
Well, everyone besides Tom. He was too hurt to make any other interaction with Tord. When Tord was gone for good, Edd and Matt went back into the house to continue their daily lives.
Tom, however, stayed outside and drifted off into his own thoughts.
He regretted everything. He really did. Or did he?
Maybe this was bound to happen eventually.

Ah yes, angst. Sad chapter. The next chapter will probably be the end of the series, so. Yeah.
