•Chapter Nine: Over•

•Jack•

I slowly walk away from Freia staring at the sidewalk. My phone keeps buzzing but I'm not gonna answer it. I'm pretty sure they're all at my house waiting anyway.

After what seems like hours, I get to my house. Emma's the one to answer the door, so I do my best to put on a smile.

Emma frowns. "What's wrong, Jack?"

She knows me too well. "Uh... Are the guys here?"

"They're all downstairs. Like, all of them." Emma says. "Mom's taking me back to the pool so I can... Play. So you can tell me later, right?"

Unfortunately for Emma, I know her too well too. I smirk despite my depressing feelings. "Sure... Have fun with Jamie."

Emma's eyes grow slightly wide. "Wh- I don't know what you're talking about."

I laugh. Emma has always had this weird power that makes me feel better even when I'm really sad. "Okay, okay! I'll see you later!"

Emma sighs in relief and smiles. She waves me off but I say something

"Hey-" I smirk. "I'm gonna beat 'im to a pulp if I hear about anything remotely close to the word boyfriend when you get home."

Emma glares at me. "Jack!" She isn't denying it though.

"You're twelve years old! You can't have a boyfriend until you're like twenty! Trust me, boys are idiots. You'll thank me one day." I mess up her hair teasingly and she continues to glare at me.

"Good. Bye." Emma walks out.

I take a deep breath and go downstairs. I stop at the door to our "headquarters" and hear giggling. Mostly, it's Rapunzel and her uncontrolled laughter. Hiccup and Merida are laughing too, but probably about something else. As far as I've heard, those two have been on two unofficial dates and it's been going well.

Finally, my hand reaches the doorknob, though my eyes remain on the floor. I hear the door open and a loud cheer erupts.

"Jack! You're back!" Kristoff grins.

I chuckle and ruffle my hair, looking around the room. There is food scattered all over and some confetti strewn around as if they tried to decorate a few small spots of the room. Everyone is placed on a bean bag; Rapunzel and Eugene on one, Kristoff and, surprisingly, Anna on another, and Hiccup and Merida on the last one. They arranged them in a circle facing each other.

"So..." Eugene starts excitedly.

"How did it go?" Rapunzel finishes for him.

"Well," I look at all of their expecting eyes. They've all been rooting for me this whole time. What am I supposed to say to them? "It... Went well, I guess."

"So what happened?" Hiccup asks, taking is eyes off Merida for once. I mean, he couldn't be more obvious.

"Just as planned, I set up the table and waited for her." I explained. "She was pretty shocked when she saw the note... And then we talked."

"Yeah," Merida raises an eyebrow. "And what did you talk about?"

Who invited her anyway? I was just about to get away with satisfying my friends, but nooo, I guess I just have to tell the truth. [note: this is meant to be read with total sarcasm]

I sigh. "She... She looked hurt. And confused. So I decided to have a heart for once and apologized. I told her I was going to leave her alone because that's what she wants." I speak as fast as I can without taking a single breath.

Everyone is silent. They all stare at me with a confused expression.

"... What?" Anna breaks the silence.

"So it's... Over?" Kristoff asks.

The full realization of it all comes and smacks me in the face. "Yeah. It's... It's over."

•Elsa•

After the Freia thing, Jamie begged me to take him back to the pool. I was too tired to argue, so I agreed. Maybe kuzco's right; I need to stop giving this kid everything he wants.

I sit at the pool, trying to keep an eye on Jamie. I'm exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open. For some reason, I'm feeling a little depressed.

Maybe it's just because I wanted a real secret admirer and, as usual, Jack came in and ruined It all. It's nice that he apologized though. No more Jack...

Jamie slips on the side of the pool and that one girl laughs. His face turns bright red and I can't help but giggle.

It's nice to finally be able to relax. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally just chill.

I take a deep breath, forcing my mouth to remember how to smile. "It's over."

*sorry it's been so long!!! I got my phone taken away! And since I've gotten it back, to be honest, I've been feeling kinda depressed and out of it. And can I just say the cover for this chapter made me want to cry? It definitely did not help me feel better. But I really like it at the same time!!!

Anyway, I'm back now and I promise I won't make you wait that long for the next chapter!!!

For those of you that still aren't convinced: it is not over!! Trust my judgment I AM THE AUTHOR. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN.

I tried to write this quickly, and I'm having some writers block, so sorry that's it's so short! And sorry if it's not good... Let me know if you have any suggestions for the next few chapters cause I have no idea what to write next!

Thanks for reading! Comment what you think! Love you snowflakes!!!!!*
