Ayato rushes through the trees, trying to reach Niko's previous presence. It just disappeared out of nowhere and he is assuming the worst, rightfully so. He races towards the school, trying to pinpoint where he last felt her. He breaks the tree line quickly, leaping onto the roof and staring at the scene in front of him.
His entire body goes rigid as he watches everything unfold, people she thought were dead coming back and the love of his life lying helplessly in someone else's arms.
Nishika snaps her gaze up to Rido just in time, watching the vampire race towards her. She spins the Artemis up, smacking the end of it up, rotating the other end down, landing a hit right on Rido. He continues to move forward, reaching out for her.
If he dies, he will take her with him. She watches his hand reach out to her, his fingers trying to grab her face, almost encasing it into his palm. Rido smirks widely, her hunter mark isn't as strong as it used to be, it is weak from not being used and her defecting. His nails grip at her cheeks, ready to tear her head off her shoulders.
A bag goes off, scaring everyone on the roof. A bright light covers the area, much like the Artemis rod after the hunter's mark was placed on it. Nishika stares Rido in the eyes as his entire body disintegrates into shards of glass. She stares at the pile on the floor for a moment, making sure she is seeing it right. When she is completely sure he isn't going to appear out of the dust mound she drops to her knees, breathing heavily and leaning against the Artemis rod for stability, she isn't built for fighting more, it's her time to finish up.
She looks to the side, looking for the person who shot the bullet that ended her life long demon. Her eyes land on Zero, who still has his gun pointed towards when Rido once stood and is narrowing his eyes on her. Her eyes widen and she pushes against Artemis, struggling to stand up.
She pushes herself to her feet and struggles to stay standing, her body wanting nothing more than to just shut down. After not moving for a decade, the body needs more than a few minutes before it is up to the task of murdering a Pureblood vampire.
"Hi, Zero." She whispers, trying to walk toward him but collapsing to the floor again, her knees buckling and hitting the floor harshly. She looks at Artemis and smacks it against the floor a few times, "Why you gotta be all pissy huh? Taking all my energy? I'm sure Yuki's good to you."
Zero lowers his gun, looking from the woman to Niko, who is still unconsciously feeding away in her father's arms. Chisaki looks at his wife and shakes his head, almost chuckling at her behaviour. He looks to the side, glancing at his daughter, her body is still cold and limp. Her vampire side is forcing her body to move but her brain isn't making any active decisions.
She pulls back, detaching her fangs from her father's neck and falling back, her vampire side being satisfied. Chisaki lays her on the floor in front of him, watching her face.
"C'mon Niko," he places a hand to her forehead, "I need you to wake up for me."
Nishika tries to stand again, her legs don't listen to her, just going numb and throwing a fit. She sighs and smacks her hand against the ground, trying to get up and move towards her daughter. She tries once more to stand, but her body just doesn't move this time keeping her in place. But suddenly, arms loop under hers from behind, picking her up and moving her towards the scene.
She looks back at the person, still on high alert from everything that has been happening around her. Her eyes widen for what seems like the hundredth time since she woke up. She stares up at the boy carrying her, he lips parting in shock. She knew that they were close, but for him to stay by her side for nine years is a real feat that never really happens between anyone, ever.
