"I told you that you don't have to get them anything," Shawn said as they walked through the mall together.

"I know, I know...but like I said, your family has invited me into their home several times now when they really didn't need to so it's truly the least I could do." There were only ten days until Christmas and Camila had yet to do any Christmas shopping. She knew she wanted to get gifts for the Mendes family but she had no idea what they would want or where she should start so she dragged Shawn along with her. To be fair, he didn't mind. He enjoyed spending time with her. They went into Urban Outfitters first hoping to find something for Aaliyah.

"She's pretty active, isn't she?" Camila asked as they slowly meandered through the store.

"She is."

"Ok...what about these? Does she like to rollerskate?" Camila held up a pair of peach and lavender skates for Shawn to examine.

"She'd love those," he confidently replied.

"Well then mission accomplished!" Camila took the roller skates up to the cash register to check out. "Alright, that one was easy. But what about your parents? What would they like?"

"That's a good question."

"Ugh, you're not being as helpful as I has hoped you would be," Camila complained. "What's something your mom enjoys?"

"Um...tea?"

"Alright, I can work with that," Camila said as she bit her lip and looked around at the stores that surrounded them. "Follow me." She led him to the home section of a department store where she managed to locate the perfect gift for Karen: a ceramic and bamboo tea set.

"I'll get her some teas to go with it...but do you think she'll like it?"

"She'll love it. I think you're getting them better gifts than I did."

"All in my attempt to become their favorite," she giggled.

"I can guarantee you've already done that," he laughed in reply. Last on the list was his dad, Manny.
