"You know, when you asked me to help you move your girlfriend into your house I assumed I'd be carrying boxes or something...not installing a stripper pole in your bedroom," Matt, one of Shawn's friends, joked.

"Hey! I made you carry boxes too!"

"I feel like I know a little too much about you guys now," Matt grumbled as he worked to attach the top part of the pole to the ceiling. Shawn just laughed proudly.

"I really do appreciate you helping me," he said sincerely, placing his hand on his friend's shoulder. "I asked her to move in with me a couple weeks ago and she's been packing stuff up but we just hadn't gotten around to bringing anything here. I knew she had to work all day so I figured I'd surprise her by moving everything over while she was at work."

"Aw. Look at you being a cute little boyfriend."

"Whatever." Shawn rolled his eyes but deep down he did really hope that Camila would be enamored by the sweet surprise.

"So...you've never asked a girl to move in with you before..."

"Correct."

"I take it you two must be pretty serious?"

"I mean, yeah..." he sighed. "I'm like, really in love with her."

"I'm happy for you, man. She's really cool. And you seem really happy with her."

"Thanks dude. I am happy. The happiest, actually."

Matt eventually left to go spend time with his own girlfriend so Shawn started working to get Camila officially moved into his townhouse. He found several items while unpacking that caught him slightly off guard but he couldn't say he was surprised by much. He had learned first hand just how adventurous she was during the several months they had been together. He took a break from unpacking to enjoy a cold beer from his fridge. He popped the cap off and took a swig before his phone vibrated against the kitchen counter. He looked down to see his girlfriend calling him.

"You better not be making personal calls on the job," he joked. "Don't make me talk to your boss."

"I'm on break, sassy-pants."

"Alright," he chuckled. "I guess I'll let it slide." He took another quick swig. "How's your day been?"

"Good. Slow. It's weird without you here. I miss getting to talk to you whenever you come out to make yourself a cup of coffee."

"Aw, I miss you too." He heard her yawn on the other line. "Are you sleepy?"

"Yes. I slept like shit last night."

"I'm sorry, baby. Are you going to the club tonight? Maybe once you get off work you can just come over and we'll do dinner and a movie on the couch? We'll call it an early night so you can hopefully get a good night's sleep."

"That'd be nice," she sighed. "Do you have a certain movie in mind?"

"Hm...I don't know. What are some good sleep-inducing movies?"

"I don't know. I've fallen asleep during every Star Wars movie I've seen...does that count?"

"Sounds like a winner to me," he laughed.

"My breaks almost over." Her voice sounded just slightly sad.

"Well thanks for using it to call me. I like talking to you."

"I like talking to you too."

"I love you, you know that?"

"I know. I love you too." He could practically hear her smiling as she spoke. "I'll see you when I get off work."
