Shawn stared at her as she got dressed. Camila could see him in the mirror and couldn't help but notice how unsure he looked.

"You don't need to worry," she reminded him. "It's been almost two weeks, babe. I'm ready to go back, I feel good. I promise." After some heavy persuasion she had finally convinced him to let her come back to work at the coffee shop. He was still hesitant but he did at least feel better about it knowing that he'd also be there in case she'd need something.

"Sorry," he sighed. "I know you're gonna be fine. I just worry sometimes, I guess."

"It's okay," she said sweetly as she walked over to him and tousled his hair before giving him a quick kiss. "It's sweet how protective you are. It's nice to have someone who cares about me so much."

"I do care about you," he assured her. "So much." He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto his lap. "And I love you. So much."

"I love you too," she quietly replied as she laid her head comfortably on his shoulder. "And as much as I would love to just stay here and cuddle I have a feeling my boss wouldn't appreciate me being late to work."

"Well I have a feeling that your boss doesn't care and would honestly just prefer cuddling-" He said as she stood up from his lap and walked over to grab her shoes. He tried pouting but she only snorted and playfully rolled his eyes at him.

"You know, I'm pretty sure most bosses don't try to convince their employees to stay home instead of going to work..."

"Maybe not," he agreed. "But most boyfriends probably try to convince their girlfriends to stay home instead of going to work." Camila laughed and grabbed her phone and her car keys. "Can't believe we can't even ride together..." he grumbled. It wasn't necessarily that they were trying to hide their relationship; they knew it was inevitable that people would find out eventually. They really only had to drive separately because her shift would be over before he'd likely be ready to leave.

Her and Shawn had left at the same time and thus arrived at the coffee shop at the same time as well. Camila felt good walking into work again. She really had missed it. She busied herself with doing some pre-open prep while Shawn came out to make his own drink for the morning. Sasha was Camila's shift-mate for the day, and considering she never showed up more than a minute before she needed to it was only her and Shawn for the time being. Camila stood at the sink washing one of the blenders when she felt his strong arms wrap around her waist from behind and give her a few kisses to her neck.

"You know you're not gonna be able to do this when we open, right?" Camila giggled.

"Which is why I need to take advantage of the time I have now." He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing his brewed espresso and finishing his latte. "Now get to work!" He gave her a swift yet gentle spank as he walked past her to go to his office, making her yelp in surprise before giggling. "What? Can't do that once we open either!" he defended. Camila shook her head and rolled her eyes as she got back to the task at hand.

"Hey!" Sasha said as she walked in a few minutes later. "You're back! Feeling better? Shawn told me you were sick..."

"Oh! Uh, yeah...it was pretty bad. But I'm feeling much better now!"

"Well good! I hate shifts without you. Kolby is...well..."

"The worst?"

"Yes!" Sasha exclaimed with a laugh. "I mean, I didn't wanna say it...but it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels that way."

The girls kept busy for most of the morning. Morning shifts were always the busiest, obviously, and Camila really liked working when it was busy. It kept her occupied. She hated just standing around and doing nothing. About halfway through the morning, Shawn came out to make himself another drink.
