(Luke's P.O.V.)

I walked down the hallway with my boyfriend Zander Wickham, in my eyes he can't really do any wrong, to me he's perfect. I actually wouldn't be in the relationship that I now have with him if it weren't for Jake Sterling, the lead singer in our club, during the end of one of our rehearsals I told Jake I was kinda jealous of him because he could sing and if I could sing then maybe I could confess to the one who gives me butterflies in my stomach. The next day, Jake told me that I might not be able to sing, but I could write a love song, after Jake told me I spent the whole night writing a song. Then after that Hailey sang it for me and you probably know the rest.

"Luke! Zander! Wait up!"

Me and Zander turn around to see Jake running towards us

"Yeah Jake?" I ask

"Two things, 1: when you go on a date don't tell anyone and 2: can I be the best man at your wedding?" Jake's eyes sprakled at the question

"W-wha!? N-No way!" Zander exclaims

"Awwwww come on! I convinced Luke to write the song for you!" Jake whines

"Really?" Zander looks to me

"Y-yeah....he knew I had a crush.....and he suggested that I write the song and I actually might keep writing songs!" I nod to Jake in thanks

"Fine Jake...." Zander mutters

"Lets go! I'm going shopping for a suit!" Jake runs away

"Jake!!!!" Zander yells as I laugh

~Next day early in the morning~

Bring bring

"Mmmmmmm"

I open my eyes and grab my phone,

6:05 am

Who the hell-

I open my phone and read the message

Hey Luke, I'm really sorry about waking you this early, but can we meet up? At the school on the rooftop please, I have something I wanna tell you in person

I guess I could go. Jake is family after all

I get up and start to get ready without making any noise

~At school~

"Hey Jake, you wanted to talk?" I ask

I stand in the school roof doorway looking at Jake who had his back to me

"Oh, hey Luke. Yeah I wanted to talk" Jake faces me

There was silence for a second, then Jake sighed and tilted his head down

"I'm going to tell you a secret Luke. Your the first person to know this besides my mom......."

I stayed silent as Jake looked down

"When I was in kindergarten school these 3 boys started to bully me, they continued to bully me into elementary school until the whole school would start to whisper "look there goes the music freak"........the bullying made me feel ashamed of myself. Ashamed of my singing, I asked my dad to have me switch schools and when I did I kept it a secret, I became friends with Drew and the others and after seeing how Hailey and Zander were treated for liking music........I bullied them because I was afraid of bring hurt again..." Jake's voice became shaky

"Jake....." I take a step foward

I slowly walk towards Jake until I was right in front of him, I slowly hug him and start to run my fingers through his hair. Jake starts to cry and hugs me back, I comfort him as he sobs onto my shoulder.

He has a heart of glass......one single touch could make it shatter into a million pieces...

"Shhhhh, it's okay..." I whisper

Jake started to calm down and when he did I heard him whisper

"You remind of her...."

"Who?" I ask

"My mother..."

"I-Is she...?" I decided not to finish

"Yeah......she used to hug me like this..."

We spent the rest of the hour up on the roof hugging with the purple-blue sky unfolding, I thought about Jake's words

"Jake...when your feeling sad...you can always come to me, I'll always be here for you"

"Thank you Luke......you know..........
