(Hailey's P.O.V.)

"I'm so glad school's out" I take a sip of my soda

"Yeah, me to" Zander sits beside Luke

"This means we can hang out together!" Milly exclaims

"We also need to find a new member, at least one." I sigh

"Soon to, we wanna try and get a new member so we can start practicing a song" Sean takes a look at his phone

We all talk about the band competition, a musical competition for schools that we signed up for. We talked about what member we would want until we heard

"H-Hey!"

We all turn around to see a little girl sitting in the fountain drenched

"Pffft, I can't believe she actually fell in!" A girl started laughing as 2 others joined to tease the girl in the fountain

We were about to go help, but

"Hey! Leave her alone!"

The other girls run off as the drenched girl stands up and looks to her helper who saved her from being teased and thats when I saw him...

Blonde coral hair, milk chocolate eyes, dark blue jacket with a collar, black & grey boots, black ripped jeans, silver earrings, and finally his signature necklace........Jake Sterling, my bully

"Are you ok miss?" Jake helps the little girl out of the fountain

"Yeah, my bullys pushed me in" The drenched girl sighs sadly

"I know how that feels" Jake sighs

"Really?" The girl looks up at Jake

"Yeah, I was bullied by my whole school for wanting to be a singer and guitarist. I changed schools, but now I hide my talent"

A-am I hearing this right?

"O-oh, I'm sorry mister"

"It's okay, but let me ask you something" Jake crouched down

"Yes?"

"What were those girls bullying you for?" Jake asks

"They bully me cause I wanna be a drummer" The little girl says

"Don't let them tell you what to do, you go out and live your dream and once you practice enough and keep moving foward. You'll be up on a stage in no time playing infront of thousands of people that came to watch you play and those girls will be sorry" Jake smiles

The little girl looked as if she had gotten this encouragement from a celebrity

"Thank you so much mister! I need to go now, but thank you!" The little girl waves then ran off as Jake waved her goodbye

We watched Jake as he sat down on the fountain concrete and pulled the guitar from his back that I just noticed and started to play and sing, it was so nice. His singing was like an angel. I could tell everyone else agreed by the way they closed their eyes and looked like they could go to sleep. After a few minutes, Sean was waking me. I hadn't realized I fell asleep

"He's going into the cafe, talk to him!" Milly whisper-shouts

"Ok ok! I'm going!" I stand up and walk into Gachabucks

I walk into the cafe to see Jake sitting at a table with his computer out, guitar leaning against the table, and a drink. I pull my hood up and put my sunglasses on so it's hard to recognize me, I walk to him and tap him

"How may I help you miss?" Jake smiles

So kind...........

"I just heard you playing out there and wanted to tell you that your a very good musician" I change my voice a bit

"Oh thank you"

"Your a very kind soul to, you helped that little girl" I say

"Oh, I wouldn't say that. At my school a bully a girl who loves music just like me, in fact I bully her whole club, just out of fear. So I still need to learn a thing or two about kindness" Jake responds

"But you don't do it cause you want to hurt them correct? You just do it because you fear of being hurt again"

"Well.............yeah"

"That doesn't mean your not kind, it just means your guarded"

Jake smiles at me

"Thank you Ms"

"Your welcome...........Jake"

"Who-"

Before Jake could finish I take my hood and sunglasses off

"H-Hailey!?"

I smile at Jake as he looks away from me

"All this time you just didn't want to be hurt" I chuckle

"W-well the thing is-"

"Jake please......"

I take his hand

"Please......let me inside your guarded heart, I promise I wouldn't do anything to break it on purpose. I just want to help Jake.........please....come with me.......come with me to the music club"
