Saturday 9 AM Chicago
Aravind a young software engineer was humming his favourite song in the kitchen 🤩
As it was Saturday he was checking the groceries in the shelf to make something for breakfast.
His phone buzzed and he rushed to the hall to pick it up before it disturbs her who was sleeping in the bed room .
The name in the phone screen made him smile wide 😁
Dad
He attended the video call eagerly!
Aravind : Hi pa ! How are you?
Dad : Good morning Pa ! I'm fine. How are you?
Aravind : I'm also doing well pa ! Are you taking medicines properly?
Dad : Do you think your mom will leave me if I skip medicines?
Aravind : Haha ! Definitely not !
Dad : Then why this unnecessary question huh?
Aravind : So how is your retirement life?
Dad : I thought it'd be peaceful if I get retired. . But after retirement staying with your mom is the most difficult thing ! Mudila pa saami..
Aravind : I should not have asked it to you 🤭 how's Amma? It's been long time since I spoke with her ..
Dad : Ya.. she's fine too ! Wait I'll give the phone to her .
He handed over the phone to her !
Aravind : Hi ma !
Mom : Good morning Aravind ! Was your dad complaining about me to you?
Aravind : What? No ma ! Why should he complain about you?
Mom : What an acting pa ! You both will get an Oscar for sure if you act in movies.
Aravind : Maaa..
Mom : What are you doing inside the kitchen in the morning?
Aravind : I thought of preparing breakfast today that's why I'm searching for ingredients.
Mom : Breakfast?? What's your wife doing then?
Aravind : She is sleeping ma.
Mom : The time is 9 AM right? Is she still sleeping?? Can't she even wake up early and make breakfast for her husband?
Aravind : Maa.. last night she had an important meeting and she came back home very late that's why she's sleeping.
Mom : Always supporting your wife uh!!
While taking with them , he heard her voice from the bedroom .
He went to the bedroom and found her sitting in the bed with her mobile in her hand 😂
He chuckled and walked towards her !
Aravind : Good Morning!
Anjana : Morning.. who's in the call?
Aravind : Here ! You talk with them , I'll make coffee for us !
He handed over the phone and went back to the kitchen.
Mom : what is this Anjana!? Is this the time to wake-up? Can't you even wake up early and make breakfast for your husband??Is this how a married girl should be?
Anjana : Nee ennoda amma va illa mamiyar ah?? Adha sollu modhala??
(Are you my mom or mother in law? Tell me that first?)
Mom : What a question is this?
Anjana : Then why are you behaving like an arrogant mother in law? Even my mother in law is sweeter than you ! But you? You are complaining about me to my husband itself!!

Anjana : Aaahhh ! Don't start your lecture again..
Mom : Nalladu sonna enga kekra nee!
Anjana : My husband would have made my coffee, I'll have it and talk with you later ! Bye . And please don't lament about me to appa.. okay??
Mom : Haan..
