A Step Closer

Coiny's POV

It's been a few days... Suspicions still fill up the air.. but atleast now.. We have noticed some changes in Leafy's actions...

"Hey, Firey." I called out to him nearby. He was sitting on one of the benches while waiting for the game.

"Yeh?" he answered

"Are you still looking for suspicions?"

"I am. How about you? I assume you have been looking for some too. Have you found any?"

"P l e n t y."

As soon as I said that I began to take out a list of all the things that suddenly changed about her

"Oh wow, you really ARE looking" Firey sajd as he gazed upon my list

"Well of course! As her friend, I must always look out for her"

"...huh.. well..atleast she has good friends." Firey muttered. But I still heard and replied

"What? am I not a good friend for you?"

"Oh cmon Coiny. Y'know I didn't mean it like that"

"Yeh yeh I know. Let's just check the list out"

Firey's POV

I looked at the list and found a lot of changes that I also suspected. Those of which are...

•Not being as energetic
•Smile deteriorating
•Looking like she hasn't slept for days
•Getting lost in thought every now and then; and
•Going back and forth into the forest nearby the gaming grounds

"So? are there any of these you saw?" Coiny asked

"A lot more than you think. I could also add some more if you want"

"Oh sure" Coiny said as he hands me a pen.

I've known Leafy for as long as I can remember. We're basically best friends before so... I've noticed a lot of changes in her actions... It's... kinda nostalgic thinking about the old days..

I listed down some things that Coiny may or may not have seen. That being:

•Avoiding people so much
•Constanly cautious
•Gets startled a lot
•Not really bragging much about being kind

"Huh... now that you listed it. She really was acting like that huh?"

"Yep." After that, me and Coiny just looked at the list and Leafy back and forth.

"...have you told Pin yet?" I asked out of the blue

"..right..I forgot"

"woow and you tell me I'M the forgetful one"

" HEY! it's just one time!"

"Heh, but seriously. When will you tell her?"

"Hmm...I guess maybe now can be good?..yeh. I should tell her now." As soon as Coiny said that, he grabbed the list and went over to go to Pin. Meanwhile I just sat down and watched Leafy a little bit more...

Third Person POV

Coiny walked over to the other contestants to ask where Pin is. None of them gave much of an answer... Until he asked Bell

"Pin? oh! I saw her."

"Really? well.. where'd she go?"

"Over there!" She turned around to see Pin sitting on the grass a bit far away from the gaming grounds

"Thank you, Bell" Coiny said as he ran towards Pin

"You're welcome!"

Pin was just there. Sitting. Coiny went and sat down next to her

"Oh..hey Coiny.."

"Hey Pin..soo... you know the thing that's been going on about Leafy lately?"

"Yeh. i do.I can also see for myself..."

"Well uh.. Me and Firey wanted to saw you our suspicions andthe things we saw in Leafy's new personality change"

Coiny handed her the list

"..huh." Pin looked at it with gloomy eyes

"..yeh..so..Me and Firey have been suspecting that she might be busy with something..but that doesn't explain the sudden cautiousness though"

"I see...well..I think I might know something that can explain it all"

Coiny looked at Pin with a curious yet worried look

"o..okay?"

Pin looked at him and smiled a bit

"You see... When I was walking around earlier, I bumped on Leafy. I tried to say 'hi' but based on how quickly she was I assumed she was in a hurry...but then..I saw something.."

Coiny, raising a brow in curiousnes to hear what happens next, said "mhm.. what happened?"

"Well..Maybe when I bumped onto her..I might've made her drop something...something.. that's really important to us...Really important to you and Firey. Based on the current situation."

"Well??" An impatient Coiny said in a very worried tone

"... I think it's better if I show it.."

Pin took a deep breath then lets out a long sigh before showing the thing she found earlier

...As soon as Coiny saw it,his eyes began to widen in worry and fear..

HAAAAA GOMEN GOMEN! I AM SO SORRY FOR THE TREMENDOUSLY LONG UPDATE!!

if I'm gonna be honest... Laziness and procrastination took over me-

but considering I have a very uptight schedule in my online classes in the past couple months, It was also kinda hard for me to find time. Still, I'm very sorry. I can't promise to you that I will continue this as much as i can ad possible. but I won't let this go discontinued.
