HER TEARS COULD BE HEARD HITTING THE FLOOR FROM MILES AWAY. the sensational sounds of "i know the end" by phoebe bridgers flowed throughout her headphones, each word hitting harder than the last; despite it not being heard over her sniffing. the girl was letting tears cascade down her rosy cheeks because she was fucking worked to the bone today. she had an appointment with a senior in high school who wanted their pictures done but only ended up with the insecure teenager projecting, and hurting clem's feelings.

clementine had gotten over the phase of projecting her insecurities long ago, now only bringing up everyone and their appearances knowing that words have such a impact. seems like the teenager didn't know this.

"this is stupid" clem thought- about her crying because a mindless girl told her that her shirt seemed a few sizes too small. truth was; it was entirely justified for the sensitive girl to be crying about it. she just loved to downplay her pain and make it seem like she isn't suffering when she severely is.

but she's been needing this cry for a bit; just to let out all of the emotions that were controlling and keeping her captive.

clementine knew that it was never good to hold in her feelings; because if you did, then they would eventually taint her thoughts and mange to ruin everything. it happened after her toxic relationship ended and she would do anything to avoid again.

taking her headphones off her unbrushed hair, and pausing the sorrow music she opened her phone to text from a person who only in a short amount, knew how to make her happier than anyone else. karl.

chuckling to herself about karl's forgetfulness, she threw her phone on her bed. getting up and walking to her mirror seeing her reflection in the glass and grimacing.

the prominent and dark under bags being engraved in her olive skin, staying there though all the sleepless nights.

pimples threatening to erupt on the surface of her face, reminding her that she needs to start washing her face more frequently.

seeing this and wanting to feel clean, she reaches for her phone again so that she can play music in the shower, and she grabs her towel, then walking to the bathroom.
