"shorty," you chimed, hitting my forehead lightly as you caught up with me near the staircase, "did you study for today's test?"
"wait, we had a test?"
you stopped, looking surprised, "wow you— you really are something— you're worse than i am! i atleast knew there was a test today!" you laughed, looking prideful.
"well then did you study for it?"
"that's not important," you quickly dismissed the question, waving your hand in the air lightly, "what actually important is that you were unaware about it. it's okay though, you can still cheat."
and with that, you patted my head sympathetically. even though i was feeling butterflies from that action, i pushed your hand away, "don't act as if you weren't going to cheat!"
and you simply laughed, "you know me well."
