Gorgeous

Haziq Sulaiman let his eyes remain on his newly wedded bride, her downcasted eyes, that perfect touch of minimal makeup, that white ankle length dress of an elegant red and white stone border, which she completed with a red scarf. She looked breathtakingly gorgeous.

She was quiet throughout their journey from her home to his house. Her heart still sour about leaving her Nani. He let her be, giving the space she needed.

When they reached his room and Nida started helping her with her shoes and all, he excused himself, sensing Mifra's discomfort on removing her scarf next.

Fathima sent him a pair of fresh clothes with his toiletries to a guest room and he showered there, before leaving to mosque to pray Isha with Aamir, who was waiting for him outside.

"Do you need some help with your hair?" Nida asked Mifra, handing her a glass of water.

"No. Thank you" Mifra whispered, passing her a little smile.

The uncomfortable feeling she got from Nida faded and she found her quite nice.

"Ok then. I'll go get changed. This is quite uncomfortable" Nida let out an uncomfortable laugh, looking down at her heavy dress and rubbing her neck. Mifra smiled again, agreeing with her. She could feel what she's feeling. Her wedding outfit is nice and elegant and all, just the way she prefers, but it's a bit heavy, which is not her preference. Even she wishes to get out of it and wear something comforting as soon as possible.

"That's the walk in closet and bathroom is attached to it. You'll find the clothes Mom got for you there. Make yourself comfortable. The room next to this is mine. Call me if you need anything or use this intercom to call our maids." Nida smiled before leaving.

As soon as the door shut behind her, Mifra let out a sigh of relief. The jewellery beneath her scarf was making her skin itch and the heavy dress wasn't helping at all.

She called her Nani, to check upon her whilst unpinning her scarf and removing the jewellery one by one.

She felt very much better after hearing from her Nani, who sounded happy and content. Mifra commanded Chanda to give her medicines and make sure she's asleep by 10 pm.

Taking the clothes from the little bag Mifra brought along, in which she packed all the necessary items she needed, to get it altogether without having her to dig into her number of big bags to look for things, she rushed to the enclosed bathroom.

Cleaning the little make up from her face before shower, she washed herself and slipped into a silky cream colour maxi, blow her hair dry and loosely placed a similar colour dupatta over her head. She walked out of bathroom, looking for a prayer mat.

That's when she noticed the room, her new room, in which she's probably going to stay for a month. Those creamy walls and grey furniture complimented each other. The room was huge, holding bed right at the centre, there was a sliding door to the balcony on its right and a door opposite to it leads to the walk in closet and ensuite bathroom attached.

A knock on the door startled her. She stood still, assuming it to be Haziq. But Fathima peeked in.

"You okay, dear?" She smiled, looking fresh after removing the make up and changed into casuals. A maid walked in from behind, holding a tray with cloche. She placed that on the coffee table, smiling towards Mifra.

"Ji" Mifra answered and before she could ask for a prayer mat, Fathima said, "Haziq said you might need a Musallah (prayer mat). It's here"

Mifra unintentionally smiled at it, taking the prayer mat Fathima pulled out from one of the drawers. "Thank you" she said.
