winters in cities like these melt
into condensed vapours and fogs,
while frostbites seep deep into us
narratin' greyish blue monologues

clouds step down into our hands,
suns stop being stars for a while,
the skies are sewn with promises
and whispers at the edge of a smile

they cry after a month of waiting
rubbing softest earth on patience,
seeding changes and restless tears
into arms of fleeting, grand cadence

their eyes close, warm and alluring,
fingertips trace paints on happiness,
steps walk down cyan death notes
to meet pink and raisin aimlessness

solar winds draw the aurora borealis
rainbows melt in the arms of sunlight
silence rejoices the birth of laughter
while they sing songs to the aphrodite

It's been winter for a while and I've always felt it a little too much. Though life's been wandering indoors lately, I hope we survive to see spring chirping in our windows once again. Hazel wishes health and wellness to you and your loved ones. :')
