His heart was thumping hard. Why? Was it because he was feeling excitement from entering the world? No, he should've felt it when he just arrived. Why? He scrutinized at the escaping back and his heart started thumping more heavily. Could it be? In his 45 years of life.. he was actually a masochist all along.. for men.. who would've known..

Of course, Darius was joking. Nevertheless, he felt uncomfortable with this new founded emotion.

Darius strolled sadly with the rest of the students and ended up at the canteen. He waited in line to order not caring about the contempt.

Why make a servant order your food when you have legs.

When he arrived at the counter his pockets were empty, he facepalmed internally thinking about whether he had to go hungry. But, someone conveniently walked up to the counter and paid for him.

Darius was pleasantly surprised, "Thank you."

"No problem, helping a peer is what every student should aspire to do," his smile looked like the spring breeze, "Make sure you bring money next time or you'll end up starving."

Darius nodded his head, "I will," he picked up his order and wanted to ask the guy for his name, but he already went back to his table. He decided not to bother him anymore, and searched for a place to sit.

He found a table with no one on it. And sat down.

Darius chomped on the food. Although it was the cheapest set it was still tasty.

Guess this is a prestigious academy for a reason. Or maybe because I've  been eating so poorly that even disgusting foods taste great.

For a while now, he felt like people were staring at him. He looked up and noticed that a few people were gawking at him. This was every high schoolers nightmare, but he was an old man he can handle it.

...

Why were they staring.?

Suddenly, he felt a heavy pressure above him. He didn't dare glance up for the fear of being swallowed up by a lion and eagle.

A cheerful chuckle resonated.

"A little lamb has come to play Gideon."

The eagle silently glared at the chuckling person and then at Darius.

Gideon, as in Gideon Floowfald, the Duke's eldest son who hate low class nobles like Killian?? Are you serious? What the hell? I'm screwed, goodbye my peaceful life. These few hours in this world was amicable. No, maybe this is just someone with the same name.

He slowly looked up but turned back. It's him. There's no mistaking those purplish eyes that only the direct linage of the duke family have. Why did the game creator do this? Actually it's better for the capture target to have obvious characteristics, so he can avoid them.

Alas, ignorance is bliss.

Darius rapidly stood up with his tray and moved to the side. He felt like squirting blood out his mouth from the stress.

"Little friend, why're you leaving, you won't accompany us?" the gentle faced person beside the scary faced person spoke with a tint of smile.

First, I'm older than you. Second, your other little friend doesn't seem to want my company. Lastly, very bold of you to assume that I'm little.

"No thanks, I just remembered that I have something to deal with today," he said in a frantic voice, and sped out the canteen.
