"Myla Jones!"  Someone shouted

"Oh sorry...yes?" I snapped back into reality

"I said, what is the 'hate potion' known for?" Professor Slughorn asked

"Um.."

"Professor Slughorn...if I may?" I looked over to see Hermione Granger's hand flaunting in the air

"Yes Miss Granger?" Slughorn shifted his attention.

If it wasn't for Hermione's obnoxiously intricate brain—another evening of detention would be in my future.

"Hate potion is often used to reveal the worst traits or habits of a person to the drinker. It can also be used for those who are emotionally attached to a person who does not return their feelings. Although not guaranteed for a person to completely lose their feelings for them, it typically discourages them from creating a relationship with that person." her eyes roamed the room, she realized she had almost put everyone to sleep.

"Ah, that is correct Miss. Granger. 10 points for gryffindor!" He chuckled and walked back to his desk

"what an insufferable know-it-all" I heard a chuckle from behind me followed with a few other laughs

Just as i thought, the human version of nails on a chalkboard

"Just because you look like a ferret doesn't mean you should act like one" I flashed a sarcastic smile and turned back around

"Quite cheeky today aren't we, Jones?" he scoffed

"Alright you two! That's quite enough for today" Slughorn tapped he wand on the desk

i've never gotten along with Draco—for as long as i can remember, I just have my reasons I suppose.

After class ended I got up from my table and gathered my things. Everyone cleared out of the classroom pretty quickly, it was our last class of the day.

"Is there a problem?" I sighed—putting my notes into my bag

"Well I'm glad you asked" Draco stood at the edge of my table, fiddling with the zipper on my bag.

"go on" I swatted his hand away.

"I'd love to know what makes you think you can talk to me the way you do?" He sneered leaning over on the table propping himself up

"I have my reasons" I replied, throwing my bag on my shoulder.

He shifted from the table and walked closer towards me "well you see.."

He leaned down next to my ear "I don't appreciate it and I suggest you stop while you think you're ahead" he snarled

He thinks 'little things' as this, will bring anyone to their knees for him—not me, it never has and I can bet you...it never will

He smirked, he obviously thinks very highly of himself.

I was wrong...this boy is a complete twat

I bursted out in laughter

"Listen Malfoy, you think everyone in the school owes you something..."

I stepped closer and stood on my tip toes to make our faces just a few inches apart.

"You might be pureblood...but you're still a half wit" I winked and walked out.

Once I was out of his view I sprinted to meet up with the trio, Draco Malfoy might be an arrogant twit but that doesn't mean he can't be intimidating at times. I would never let him know that of course, his head is already— fairly large.

I finally made it to the Gryffindor common room, shut the door and let out a sign of relief.

"What happened Myla?" Harry jumped up from the couch

"Yeah we were starting to worry" Hermione walked down from the stairs

"Uh...nothing, I just left my bag in potions" I nervously laughed—trying to catch my breath

"Can we go eat dinner now? I'm starving" Ron grumbled

"Ronald, were you not worried about Myla?" Hermione smacked him

"Oh hey Myla! When did you get here?" He smiled

Hermione smacked him again

We walked down to the great hall for dinner and sat in our normal seats as roasted chicken and pork lined the table.

"Thanks for saving me today in Slughorns Mione, I owe you"

"what you said to Malfoy—that was pay back enough" she laughed

I glanced across the great hall and seen Malfoy, he was talking to Blaise in their little Slytherin group, I always wondered what it would be like to be apart of that infamous group...I don't really care much for them, they just seem—close I guess.

Malfoy's eyes caught my glance.

Blimey...he caught me looking

His mouth curved into a smirk and a wink shortly followed. I rolled my eyes and joined the trio's conversation

How can someone be so obnoxious?

I hated Draco Malfoy with every ounce of my being and I always will.
