"Jones?" His restless eyes became soft

He platinum hair had grown a bit thicker. If his face couldn't get anymore structured. There were many stories behind those light blue eyes now.

I wonder what his stories were?

"How are you?"

"I'm well, and you?" He chuckled

"Doing great" I smiled

He stared for a moment longer and so did I...what was he thinking? I wanted to dive into his past, to drown in his thoughts.

"I didn't expect to see you here...how do you know Amelia and Leo?" I asked

"Working in Sussex has its perks, I come here very often. I usually travel here for reports. I met Leo my first year, we've been close ever since. I'm assuming you work with Amelia?" He took a drink from his glass

"Yeah, we work at the library together." I nodded

"The Library? That's interesting" he raised his eyebrows, taking another sip

"It's funny isn't it? Snape helped get me in...he said it should only be a matter of time until a position opens for me"

"Wow, y/n. That's truly amazing....I want you to kn-"

"A new friend, draco?" A dark haired woman ran her hands down his shoulders, onto his chest.

An engagement ring flashed in the light on her finger.

"Oh Riley...this is.." he hesitated for a second

As if our memories played in his mind.

"A friend I attended Hogwarts with...y/n Jones" he looked down tapping his ring on the glass

"Hi, y/n" she held her hand out

"it's so nice to meet you Riley" I shook her hand

"I better run off, I seen a plate of champagne passing" she winked and walked away

"Are you and Riley engaged?"

"Yep" he nodded

The awkwardness struck again...we weren't sure what to say....drinking almost the whole glass of whiskey.

"Care to dance?" Draco stood from his seat

"Dance?" I laughed

"I'm sure my significant other wouldn't mind" he scoffed

Riley was waltzing with a toned brunette

"One wouldn't hurt, dear" he laughed

"Fine" I placed my hand in his and we walked to the dance floor

He placed one of his hands in mine and the other on my waist firmly. He scanned my features as we danced across the floor.

"You haven't changed a bit, Jones" he smirked

"Is that good or bad?" I laughed

"Good for you...bad for me" his smiled faded

"Draco...we shouldn't." I pulled away, shaking my head

"We're just dancing?" He scoffed
