06. Christmas Shopping

Important A/N : Hey y'all! I really am grateful to have you. So a little trivia?

I am actually a Filipino and English is not my "mother tongue" as how they call it? But I really am trying my best. I have actually tried writing stories that are not fanfics but they just don't work well. I actually created this story to become my bridge to writing my story using my OWN characters. By the way, thank you very much!

Eren's POV

Mikasa and I are here at the mall while Akihiro is staying home with Mom right now. She said she wanna buy a lot of Christmas presentes for our friends.

In just two days, it is Christmas already. Mikasa has been real stressed when it comes to buying gifts every year!

"What are you gonna buy your Dad?" She asked.

"Ballpen. Yeah, a set of ballpen." I simply said.

"Seriously? Your Dad gets a set of twelve different-colored ballpens every year. Why don't you give him something new?" She suggested.

"Maybe a new stethoscope? The one he is using, has been with him even before I was born." I said.

"That's better. Oh, a jewelry store." She grabbed my arm up to the jewelry store she is saying. She started looking at the designs and a saleswoman started assisting her while I just watch her pick while standing on her left side.

"Eren, do you think Annie will like this?" She asked.

"I honestly don't know, Mikasa." I scratched the back of my neck.

"Yeah, I think she'll like this dagger design. She always looks like she was about to stab." She chuckled.

"How about a crown for Historia, and Ymir? I'm sure they'll like it that they are matching. Cutie. Then Eiffel tower for Sasha." She said and pointed all the designs she wants to buy to the saleswoman.

"Okay, Ma'am. I'll have it packed for you." The worker smiled and left.

"Oh shit, I forgot about the present for Mrs. Jaeger." She then face-palmed.

"I think she'll like a vacuum and a new broom." I suggested.

"Yeah, you buy the vacuum. I buy the broom. How about that?" She asked and I agreed.

"Ma'am here are all the bracelets you bought. Proceed to the cashier for payment." The saleswoman handed the paperbags to Mikasa.

"Thank you." She smiled and we both proceeded to the cashier.

Once the payment is done, we both decided to go to the appliance center.

"Here, Ma'am. This is the newest vacuum we have. And here is the most modern broom we have." The worker offered.

"I think Mom wouldn't like such a high-tech appliance in her house." I said. So, I ended up buying a normal vacuum and Mikasa ended up buying a normal broom for Mom.

We then proceeded to the clothing store for men. She decided to buy shirts for the boys. They have the same designs with different colors.

We bought gifts for Dad and Akihiro, then we decided to go home. We got it all wrapped in the stores we bought them in so we don't have to wrap lots of presents the day before Christmas!

-Jaeger Residence-

Mom and Dad left us to go Christmas Shopping together. I think they should've joined us instead. Why go separately when we can go together?

"Akihiro what's the sound of the dog? Woof. Woof." I tried to imitate the sound as much as I can but I think I sound like someone in pain.

"Eren, stop. He won't learn from hearing lame sounds." Mikasa said. Why does she have to be so straight to the point? I just wanna help Akihiro learn!

"Woof!" Akihiro laughed and I laughed too.

We were playing happily and then suddenly..

"Mikasa, we are kind of in a situation." I looked and sounded like I am calm but my insides are panicking and screaming all around.

"Yeah, I know." She said and picked Akihiro up from my lap. I just sat there, not knowing what to do.

"Oi, Eren! Help me here." Mikasa shouted from the bathroom so I just walked there, mind still blank. I know he is wearing a diaper but I think he just pooped on my lap. That's okay..that's okay.

I held Akihiro, while Mikasa washes him thoroughly with gentle baby soap.

"How did you know all these?" I asked her.

"Eren, you are a parent. You should know these things too. Don't be such a dummy." She smirked.

When she was done washing him, she wrapped his lower body in a towel and wiped him dry. I was the one who put on his diaper. It was not a difficult thing to do, Akihiro seemed pretty stable when I was putting on his diaper.

When his little feet touched the ground, he started running around. Calling Mikasa as his 'Mommy'.

She is such a mother material. She's practical, she's kind-hearted, and she does scold well. I can tell that from experience.
