SC. Vows

Eren's POV

If I were to be asked the reason I fell in love with Mikasa, I would answer 'I don't know'. Not because there isn't reasons to love her, I just fell. I am not sure when, how, or why. All I know was I realized it late. But still, I would answer 'I don't know'. Because for me, when you fall in love, there isn't any particular reason. Even if you have ideal types, most of the time your heart just beats for a person even if he or she does not possess the quality you are looking for.

I sighed and smiled at her as we both look at each other dearly. I can't help but cry. Her eyes shone with diamond tears. Mine fell like a water fall while hers fell gracefully. She looks so beautiful. Intentionally or not, she's gorgeous. Very gorgeous. In fact, gorgeous is an understatement.

"I, Eren Jaeger , take thee, Mikasa Ackerman, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith." I repeated after the Minister, and put the ring on her ring finger on her left hand.

"I, Mikasa Ackerman, take thee, Eren Jaeger, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith." When she said that, I almost wanted to collapse on the ground and cry. Why is she making me feel this way? She put the ring in my ring finger in my left hand and sniffed a bit.

"Mika, do you know what are the four things I am sure of?" I asked and she shook her head. "First is you'll be a Jaeger, second is I really want the ceremony to end early so I can already call you my wife, third is, you really look beautiful as a bride, fourth is, my love for you is beyond words, and fifth is I want to spend my whole lifetime with you." I gulped when I felt my tears threatening to fall again. "Well, that was five." I said and everyone laughed.

"I never thought that a woman like you would choose to marry a guy who needs to learn serious anger management." I said and she laughed. "You deserve a lot, my love. You deserve the whole galaxy. And I will try my hardest to be the best husband, if that's even possible. I have a lot to thank you about. For staying with me. For having such long patience. For loving me more than I deserve. For giving me another reason to live. For being such a good girlfriend. For supporting me with my dreams. You've given me a lot. You made me feel happy for so many times more than you know. I will stay with you for as long as we both shall live. I love you so much, my love." I said and wiped my tears.

"You made me cry right there. So I prepared a script because I know I won't be able to think properly because this still feels surreal." She started. "To my bestfriend, who became my boyfriend, then my fiancee, and now, my husband, I love you so much." She continued.

"For you, the stars are in my eyes. But yours hold the darkness which made them visible, and I can't help but thank you for that. You made my eyes twinkle in delight when they lost the will to shine. You motivated and inspired me to keep on going. You treasured me like I am worth the whole world. I thought that no one would ever see me as worth it after my parents died, but you showed me that I was mistaken. You saw me as someone who deserves a happy life. Someone who deserves to receive the greatest love. You saw deeper within me, and loved every flaws I have. You accepted my deepest scars and darkest secrets. You loved me for who I am and not for how I look." She cried hard. How can I not love this woman in front of me?

"You never stopped me from chasing my dreams. You even forced me to pursue them. You accepted that I don't rely on you, and even loved it when I take care of myself. Thank you, Eren. For loving me. For saving me. And mostly for wrapping the red scarf around me." She finished her vow with that small line that made my heart melt. I fell for this woman hard and I will fall for her harder if that's even possible.

The Minister said things, until it was the one I have been waiting for.

"You may now kiss the---", I didn't let the Minister finished as I lift up veil, and pulling her in for a deep kiss. I don't care anymore. I just want to kiss her, that's all. That's what I want. Nothing else, nothing more. Just Mikasa Acker---I mean, Mikasa Jaeger.

She's my wife.
